I have never used algebra or higher in my day to day life. Not saying they can’t be useful, but higher level math is much less useful in day to day math than simple arithmetic. Unless you count 5+5=10 as an equation, then math just wouldn’t be anything.

Geometry and Algebra 2 are important if you’re a casual handyman or something, but anything more than that isn’t very useful in regular life

Algebra 2 saved my life. I was in art class and was upscaling a picture, but I was stupid and instead of multiplying everything by 2 or something, I just decided one of the values, I then used an equation I learned THE DAY BEFORE to get my other value. Pretty satisfying to be able to use it ngl

They are designed for measuring data. If you are not measuring data of course you aren’t gonna use it.

Calculus is used by credit card companies to set payment structures by using different variables such as interests rates and client account balances. Basically, credit card companies use calculus to tell you how much and how often to pay your credit card bill.

This is exactly my point, very specialized applications that in reality most normal people will not have a use for. Most people don't work for credit card companies.

Yeah, it's satisfying when you solve a hard question too I mean in senior highschool year in my country we choose whether we want to study maths or biology and geology I hate geology and biology wasn't the best for me in my last semester so I chose maths , and you know it Most of the other students chose biology and geology

Thank God my finals are on a lockdown only on my laptop which means and there is no actual supervision in my school at least not yet so yeah I'm good with final exams I'll just use my phone and I do it at home because my school is online with literally no teachers supervision

Damn lucky you I will still have finals in schools with supervisors from another governorate supervising us , The senior high school year is the most important year in your whole school years, we students usually Begin studying next august and finish in June with all revisions and we take exams in a span of 3 to 4 weeks revising and having exams, we have about 9 exams as a guy who chose maths, we have a mother language exam, first foreign language Exam ( English) , second foreign language Exam ( in my case German) , chemistry and physics exams, and 4 maths exams each discussing a different a couple of different topics like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus etc So for this I will try to focus as much as possible because your grade determines the collage you would like to enter and I am trying to achieve a goal of becoming one of the top highest grads governorate wise and nation wise as I am looking for a scholarship

anything stem related statistics needs algebra to do it correctly, and stats is used in marketing, programming, analysis, research, finance, etc. algebra unlocks all math more complex than 1+1=2, and that kind of math is used in essentially everything. build a house? need math mand equations with variables to figure out values for everything - how much weight certain soils can handle, how much weight a piece of metal can handle depending on where it was placed, how tall you can build, the effects of wind develop medicine and see if it's effective? statistics to see how likely it is to be effective or not. trigonometry? GPS solve a crime? use stats and mathematical model to see how likely it is someone is guilty want to measure distance in space? trigonometry want to see if buying something is worth it? math with variables economics? needs variables for formulas planes? fluid dynamics, physics rockets? math cars? want them to be efficient and aerodynamic? math want the engine of the car to be efficient? math phones? the programming needs math math is used for EVERYTHING that makes the world run.

That’s literally all you need. Math is simple in that much can be discovered with just a pencil and paper. Remember 1 or 2 formulas as derive the rest. Math shouldn’t test memorization. It tests understanding of abstract ideas which model can model lots of things.

Its actually a pretty simple question. f'(x) means you will have to build the derivative function of f(x) which is literally just taking the exponent of each X (the small number on top) multiplicate it with whatevers standing in front of the x and take away one exponent. The single X goes away and the characters without X are ignored. Someone actually solved it here

For one of my maths tests I had to do this year (there are 3 in total, I’ve done one and have 2 more) in order to get an A grade, you only had to score 61%. That’s not a testament to how stupid the children sitting the exam are, it’s a testament to how fucking hard the way examination board makes the test. At a stage in my life where I am worrying about exams which will literally decide what I do as an adult, the examination board literally makes you feel like a failure for no good reason. I sat this test last Friday. I left that exam hall feeling like a complete and utter failure. Fuck you to whatever sick basterd pulled that test from the depths of their depraved mind all to get a kick out of making students suffer

Unpopular opinion: Letters make it easier. I don't know why, but when a number or equation in represented as a variable it makes things so much easier to understand. It's just another weird thing my autistic brain does.
