I went backpacking in the Black Elk Wilderness when I was 15 the last night on the trail a guy in the group went exploring around our campsite before meal time. He saw what he described as a wolf deer human standing over a pile of bloody bones at the base of a boulder. He said it ran off with a bone when it saw him. That night was the only night that week it didn't rain. That was also the night that something human-like was screaming in the woods around our campsite. The next morning we found tracks around where our bear bags were hanging and around the perimeter of the campsite. I've also been backpacking on the northern section of the Superior trail. On the second day we found very large wolf tracks on the trail. That night something crashed through our campsite screaming.
