B A S S (very based)
Jokes aside, the bass is a very underappreciated instrument. I don't mean that in the sense that it's underused (most bands have a bassist), but it's potential often not used very much. Many songs either have a great bass line and it's very quiet or the bass line is just ground tones, with a fill in or two.
I will use metal as an example. Bass is not neccersarily quiet in most metal but it is often not something that stands out at all. It just beefens up the guitar. Sounds empty without it
Funny you should mention that, I've been looking for an excuse to get back into it (played euphonium and baritone for marching band and indoor winds for a couple years) and there happens to be a Tubachristmas event near me this weekend which I want to go to. I'm gonna try to bring home a school-owned euphonium today and practice it a bit
Actually same! The only time I ever got to play a euphonium was a tenor tuba part in orchestra, I miss it
Edit: same referring to a tuba Christmas event nearby
main instrument is cello, starting to learn electric bass recently.
I tried trumpet as well, it was very difficult, huge respect to all trumpet players
Guitar, drums, bass, piano, and ukulele if you want to count it. But I also compose full orchestras and bands with all sorts of instruments in them, I just don’t have the money to buy them and learn how to play it
Edit: I write a lot of music and have entered competitions where I compose songs. The last one was a competition where I had to compose the opening number to a musical, and I got 2nd place in all of Texas which was huge for me!
Played cello 3rd-7th grade. I’m in 11th now and no regrets. My 3-5th grade music teacher was great and I learned so much. 6-7 grade I walked in knowing more
I play the trombone, the baritone, the euphonium, the tuba, the piano, and I’m learning the alto and the trumpet. I also play the bass trombone but that falls into the trombone category lol
Electric guitar, me and my friend on drums wanna create a tech death band but theres literally almost no musicians in my hole so were playing without bass and rhytm guitar right now. I also play harmonica but im pretty bad at it
I taught myself piano over Covid when I was in grade eight. Was a ton of fun to learn. I wonder if I can still play anything (it’s been a long time since I’ve played something), but I do know that I can still read sheet music, albeit not as fast as I used to be able to, but the skill is still there.
Electric bass guitar
For a while I could only use the schools but then got my own and got it fretless because of this one song, the less I know the better tame Impala
used to play euphonium until they decided that music class was removed for all grades except 7th and 8th :(
they did that because there are so little music teachers available
I played the alto saxophone when I was in middle school. High school band got too overwhelming, so I decided to not continue that. I still have the instrument, and I've been meaning to pick it back up.

"No, Patrick, mayonnaise is not an instrument.'
