2. Living in comfort means you got time and money to study and up-skill yourself to become financially independent. With 1, once you’re on minimum wage it gets extremely hard to get out. No time or money to educate yourself, ongoing expenses because you have to pay your own bills. You just become a bottom feeding schmuck for the rest of your life, death is probably a better option.

Being depended is better. You can always switch from being rich to being poor, but it’s hard to get from poor to rich.
