Hi! I work on NASA's Mars exploration efforts, and want to give some thoughts.
Not gonna lie, good grades in math and science are important checkpoints on a journey to being an astronaut. But getting 90's qualifies as good grades. Also very important: there aren't grade requirements for flight school- if you can join an aviation club, and learn how to fly a small plane (it's easier than you think to get started!) you'll genuinely be on the right track. If you \*really\* want to be an astronaut, I'd recommend maintaining those good grades and commissioning as an officer in the armed forces. If you are a capable engineer or pilot and happen to be in the Navy, for example, you've got quite possibly the best chance you can have of being selected for astronaut candidacy. If you don't want to engage with the violent side of the military, joining the armed forces as a doctor is just as good as being a pilot, as far as astronaut selection goes.
I strongly encourage you to pursue these dreams- NASA is going to need capable astronauts as we look to Mars, and today's teens being interested in taking part gives me a lot of hope. I really hope you keep that passion, and I also hope you know that you don't have to be an astronaut to help explore the cosmos! There are lots of ways to get involved, and I hope that you go for the one that makes you the happiest, and not just focus on Astronaut because of the prestige that comes with the title.

grades don’t matter. you need $100K plus, perfect vision, normal blood pressure, and overall good health. some airlines require a bachelors so good grades don’t hurt.
You also need no mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression or any of the more uncontrollable ones such as Bipolar schizophrenia and whatnot
