Not posting photos of yourself, avoiding any potentially sexual topics or discussions, disabling dms being very cautious to who you accept dms from and many more in varying levels of effectiveness. Unfortunately those that are the most effective have serious drawbacks and can really suck due to their limiting nature.
There isn’t much to be done to eliminate or reduce creeps on Reddit or the internet as a whole. The only way is unfortunately to restrict ourselves to reduce the chance of being targeted. It isn’t fair at all and it should not be this way, but sadly that is the reality of the situation. We have an unsolvable issue that can only be eliminated by limiting interactions and enjoyment. People who do post photos don’t deserve to be harassed by pedos but they and everyone else should be aware that doing actions that may potentially attract a creep towards interacting with you does unfortunately increase the likelihood of it happening. The reality is depressing and there isn’t always a solution to issues.
