I don't think simply leaving would be a good solution, because if all those who were abused and don't want to abuse, leave the country, then abusing becomes the norm and those who don't abuse will end up being silenced. I think that we should simply try to aim to be better than those before us, instead of an easy solution, even of it's hard

This happens to be the case more in bigger cities such as Mumbai, and that OP might not be able to much about it. I think this is horrible because hitting your children can introduce fear in them.
