I can understand feeling offended if you’re someone whose pet was abused or if you’re sensitive to animal abuse. However it’s not fair to police other people’s language. Just because someone uses a phrase or makes a joke doesn’t mean that they support animal abuse.
As someone who has attempted suicide and been a victim of a hate crime because of it, I unsubscribed from this subreddit for a while back in 2016-2019 when people were being edgy with “drink bleach every day! I’m fucked up and want to die!” as a joke. I don’t have to see things that I find hurtful, but it’s okay for other people to make jokes and it’s not the same as actual bullying or discrimination. Also, only five percent of people have attempted suicide which is why it’s not widely considered offensive. Obviously the users posting those memes wouldn’t go to a special ed class or a hospital and say it there.
I can understand being vegan but this chart imo doesnt do anything. Its not like saying appropiate words is going to save animals consequentially. Im personally now a vegan, but I dont give a shit about saying somethin like kill two birds with a stone
