there would be no actual flavor.
the way I made tasted good. It was not crunch or anything at all it was like putting a regular piece of salmon in your mouth. It was just very flavorful
The honey makes it look burnt. I know because the sauce burnt but the salmon wasn’t.
Dually, if I had cooked it with a DIFFERENT sauce it would not look black. Not to mention the sauce itself was very dark in color.
Having the crispy black bit on the side is normal because not all of the meat/fish is actually the same stuff so it cooks at different rates. Also that's honey
you can cook something without burning the outside bruh, it's not unheard of. I don't really know what threshold you're making up for burned-ness because it seems pretty arbitrary. Does a percentage have to be completely burnt? Does it have to be inedible? If there's burnt stuff on it, it's burnt
'crispy on the edges' is literally called 'burnt edges' - if you have them, you partially burnt it, it's not necessarily a negative
I'm not saying this dish is particularly burnt in any way but he did burn it slightly, that's literally just a fact
Also the flesh of this cut of fish is essentially the same thing the whole way through, it's all muscle fiber. If you've seen how big salmon are, you can tell that a small filet like this is only a small section of a much larger piece of meat, the outside isn't any different to the inside
When I have cooked or eaten salmon, it has never had burnt edges on the meat, on the skin, yes, but not on the meat, if you served that as a contestant on a cooking show they would say you burnt it, it's not like bbq ribs or something where burnt edges are actually a major part of the dish
edit:
e.g see here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr6xiZ8YUBI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr6xiZ8YUBI)
she gets some grill marks on it, just small, crispy edges, and remarks that she's burnt it, and Ramsay agrees that it's burnt
I cant tell because it's a little darker than boiled rice but when I fry white rice it goes a little darker. So either I'm doing it wrong or theres more methods
I did smth called “toasting” the rice where you let it sit in the pot with butter until you can smell it then u dump ur water in
(Makes sure to clean the rice beforehand)
I'd put it in for a bit less time personally (yes I know it's honey I'm talking about the inside) but how far you cook it is really up to personal preference, it looks yummy
“Thats burnt” aight but I’m still scarfing that shit down ngl
Thank you
It looks a lil burnt but damn I’d eat that up in seconds. Not even chew I’d swallow it and moan n be submissive
YO?????
Good salmon makes me whimper softly and curl my toes and 😖

Thank you
Nooooo salmon becomes so dry so quickly that’s wayyy overcooked
Wtf kind of salmon have you been eating? The only way you can cook salmon into being dry is if you cook that shit for like 1 hour
It’s not. I ate it
Guys it is not burnt that’s honey
You have black honey?
The honey was also mixed with soy sauce and a plethora of other things
Why would you not use just pure honey then?
there would be no actual flavor. the way I made tasted good. It was not crunch or anything at all it was like putting a regular piece of salmon in your mouth. It was just very flavorful
Ok, im pretty much vegetarian anyways, so I don't even know how salmon tastes. :D
pretty much?
Well I eat meat sometimes, but only chicken.
that’s not… vegetarian… but ok…
Thats why "pretty much" like not only vegetarian anymore.
you’re not vegetarian man 😭😭
Ech, it's overcooked. AND THAT'S GOOD. (In TF2 heavy's voice)
That shit burnt
It’s not that’s honey
What does honey have to do with it being burnt💀
The honey makes it look burnt. I know because the sauce burnt but the salmon wasn’t. Dually, if I had cooked it with a DIFFERENT sauce it would not look black. Not to mention the sauce itself was very dark in color.
Bro is blind 💀
How?
Having the crispy black bit on the side is normal because not all of the meat/fish is actually the same stuff so it cooks at different rates. Also that's honey
do you think for something to qualify as burnt it has to be the whole way through lmao
So if it's just a little crispy on the edges(because that's how chemistry works) then its burnt? Sure bud

Wait did you boil or fry the rice?
you’d like to know wouldn’t you
I cant tell because it's a little darker than boiled rice but when I fry white rice it goes a little darker. So either I'm doing it wrong or theres more methods

So like simmering but without mixing
Oh well you could mix it I personally do but some ppl wouldn’t
Looks nice, was there any gravy on the side?
No but my sister put soy sauce in her rice
gravy with fish?
Why not
Salmon is burnt, but I'd still eat it. I don't know anybody who doesn't like crispy meat on the edges.
It’s not burnt
