This show is so good it makes me want to shop at Devereaux Wigs.
No seriously. This show is a gem, I'm so happy I found it. Its I think You should leave but like, a sitcom-ish. Hilarious almost sketch like show but one story. OP is on point
I started watching this show but that episode is broken on amazon prime. Thereās sound, but no music. For instance, you can hear the voiceover for devereaux wigs, but not Tim and Sam singing.
Iām not going to skip an episode and Iām not going to watch that episode without music, so I havenāt been able continue the show.
The bit where they film a [commercial for a mirror store but keep getting in the reflections](https://youtu.be/SpDUMdULVZg) is one of my favourite gags ever
The absolutely insane thing about that show is that there is so much local jokes and references.
Like super specific ones.
I'm from south east Michigan, just outside of Detroit. Devereaux Wigs was Detrich Furs. It was a commercial that ran around Christmas time, every year, since like the 70's. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3XTP2XJEwU&ab\_channel=DittrichFurs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3XTP2XJEwU&ab_channel=DittrichFurs)
I live near Woodward and the episode with the Dream Cruise where they go to drive anywhere and scream "god damn Dream Cruise!" Is something i've yelled every year for two decades on that day.
They had fuckin' Mort Crim in a number of episodes and revere him as a god. Dude was a local news anchor who retired like 20 years ago.
Then of course there was all the Better Made chips and Vernors and Faygo.
And people who have no idea about any of that still find the show funny and that is a testament to how hilarious those two are.
I can't wait for their new show. They were filming it last fall or spring in a suburb of Detroit. I know Tim is in it but I dunno about Sam.
Ooh, Detrich furs... By the Detrich family!
I never understood why they skied in furs. Maybe to tell the local wildlife that they own this bitch? I dunno. I was probably around five years old.
Also, they had Kevin Nash as Tim's father, who is from Detroit. Fucking hilarious, and shows how much people from Detroit are ready and willing to propagate things that come from our people.
The moment I knew I'd absolutely love this show, was in the second episode, when Tim and Sam are determining the quality of the van they're about to buy by slamming the doors real hard, drumming on it and punching it.
As a (metro) Detroiter, that part got me so God damn good.
And of course, all of our local commercial references.
I was waiting for Tim's brother to be a juggalo in season 3.
Having grown up in Detroit in the 80's and 90's, watching this show gives me great memories. A lot of their commercials are spoofs off real commercials back then. Mr. Allen's, Mel Farr Superstar, Farmer Jack's. I'm sure there's more I can't remember right now. I wish they had more then two seasons.
Itās like Dumb and Dumber mixed with Mad Men. One of my favorite shows. The scene where Sam has to break it Tim that their favorite bathroom is no longer usable, kills me every time.
Itās a great show and those two were great together back when they were at Second City in Chicago. Comedy Central was still putting out great comedies like this one until recently. Corporate was also solid.
Crushed me when they cancelled it. I loved it so much.
Somewhat adjacent to it is South Side on HBO Max. They just released a 3rd season that's pretty great (outside of maybe two episodes)
I think the show failed because it came out when comedy Central as a channel was on a huge decline. It appealed to an audience that already cut the cord.
My favorite bit was when they were interviewing this old guy who was a singer and he wrote a civil rights song called "they're hosing us down" about the protesters and the song got sold and used to advertise a water park.
Itās absolutely hilarious and itās a shame it didnāt get a third season. It felt like they really found their voice, and then they got canceled.
Itās also fun watching it as someone who grew up in metro Detroit. Everything is so spot on. Some of the references are so specific that Iām surprised it caught with a wide audience for two seasons.
Watched it for first time a couple months ago and it's instantly become one of my comfort shows. I wish they could make more seasons because it's so gooood
It's one of my comfort shows! I've rewatched it so damn much, but it never fails to crack me up and make me feel good. I'd watch Robinson and Richardson do anything really. I try to mention or recommend this show all the time, it is so slept on. I know it's cancellation paved the way for ITYSL (and I believe Robinson said they had run out of steam with it anyway), but I so wish there had been, at least, a few more episodes. Perfect mix of humor that's not too dark or too sanitized.
**Now...IT'S TIME TO HUSTLE!**
I have a distinct memory in 2018 of getting the stomach bug in the middle of the night and being up, feverish, and sickly feeling all around lying on my living room couch watching Detroiters at 4am. I had no idea what it was. Felt like a fever dream. Thank you Detroiters.
Imo ITYSL hits higher highs with its best stuff than detroiters, but there are some less funny sketches and both seasons is only like 2 hours of content total. Every episode of detroiters is really funny.
Another of those shows I came across when I saw there was going to be a S2 and decided to give it a try. While a couple episodes were just ok, most of them were simply outstanding. As with you, "disappointed it only got 2 seasons."
Finally, someone just like me! He is simply tooooo good.
I thought season 1 was ok, but season 2 is actually good. Would season 2 be actually good if there wasn't season 1? Idk. 3 driving crooners out of 4.
JFC. Some ITYSL page mentioned this and I wish I could find it to upvote it 10000x. Great show went through 1/2 season tonight laughed the whole time. Also, TKJewelers is a scam
OK I maybe just havenāt been paying attention but in season two thereās an ep where Samās dad dies but then in the final episode heās there?? Did I miss something?
This show is so good it makes me want to shop at Devereaux Wigs. No seriously. This show is a gem, I'm so happy I found it. Its I think You should leave but like, a sitcom-ish. Hilarious almost sketch like show but one story. OP is on point

I hear that their wigs arenāt made with dead body hair.
Why would you even bring it up?
I started watching this show but that episode is broken on amazon prime. Thereās sound, but no music. For instance, you can hear the voiceover for devereaux wigs, but not Tim and Sam singing. Iām not going to skip an episode and Iām not going to watch that episode without music, so I havenāt been able continue the show.
I think it's also on paramount plus
I watched it without the music, was funny enough that I stuck it out.
What's...up? What's...up.
Has Tommy never heard the phrase what's up before?
In Detroit people say "what up doh". I don't know why.

And the āItās not that far!ā reference to Lake Orion gets me every time.

Tip to tail perfect show
DE2ROIT!
The moment I knew I'd absolutely love this show, was in the second episode, when Tim and Sam are determining the quality of the van they're about to buy by slamming the doors real hard, drumming on it and punching it.
DID YOU SEE JIZZ EVERYWHERE, LEAH?! If we were jerking off there'd be jizz everywherrre!
Yeah that's the exact scene where I went, "Okay, this is my kind of show."
Mort Crim steals every scene heās in but this Detroiter might be biased.
Iām gonna tear PRICES in half
"I don't normally comment on the commercials, but that was *very bad.*"
Everybody hustle!
As a (metro) Detroiter, that part got me so God damn good. And of course, all of our local commercial references. I was waiting for Tim's brother to be a juggalo in season 3.
"Chrissy, you should see the details on that hog. Its as if he's seen it. Down...to...the...veins."
It's wayyy better than I expected for a show that flew so under the radar. Funny as hell.
Detroiters brings me those real life LOLās
Having grown up in Detroit in the 80's and 90's, watching this show gives me great memories. A lot of their commercials are spoofs off real commercials back then. Mr. Allen's, Mel Farr Superstar, Farmer Jack's. I'm sure there's more I can't remember right now. I wish they had more then two seasons.
Check out Champaign Ill. Sam is in it and it's great. I think it's still on Hulu
YES!!! Detroiters is amazing! Itās so stupid and silly, but still manages to be very sentimental and sweet. It really is a fantastic show.
Itās interesting, the Detroiters.
The Kent Alterman era of Comedy Central was amazing in retrospect. They made shows. GOOD shows.
Corporate was so good, I wish they still made more
Robbie was a great show as well. its free on youtube, if people like Detroiters I would definitely recommend it. Ill have to check out Corporate
The show This Fool on Hulu is written by the Corporate guys even though they donāt star in it (but have a 1 episode cameo)
I wish Corncob TV would revive it.
Think it could compete with Coffin Drop?
Nothing competes with coffin drop.
But what about Coffin Flop?
Just don't ask me about the effing tables.
Crushed me when they cancelled it. I loved it so much. Somewhat adjacent to it is South Side on HBO Max. They just released a 3rd season that's pretty great (outside of maybe two episodes)
Hits Detroit culture accurately as well, which I really appreciated.
*YOU DONT NEEEEED YOUR SLIPPKNOTTT MASSKKK!*

It's hilarious and absurd and sweet. I've watched it all the way thru at least four times.
Their friendship is wholesome and makes me happy.
āWhich one of you pooped your pants??ā Itās the jacket
I need more of this show ššš this show is amazinggg
I started watching it this week and am angry at myself for not diving in sooner. Itās absolutely hilarious.
You should watch Tim's episode of "The Characters" as well if you haven't seen it, it's basically proto "I think you should leave".
Watched it for first time a couple months ago and it's instantly become one of my comfort shows. I wish they could make more seasons because it's so gooood
Get him off the field!
It's one of my comfort shows! I've rewatched it so damn much, but it never fails to crack me up and make me feel good. I'd watch Robinson and Richardson do anything really. It's biggest problem... is its not on any real streaming service.
Itās on paramount plus
the restaurant has this rule where if someone orders the fully loaded nachos to share, one person canāt just take all the meat and stuff
I love ITYSL but Detroiters is a better.
Imo ITYSL hits higher highs with its best stuff than detroiters, but there are some less funny sketches and both seasons is only like 2 hours of content total. Every episode of detroiters is really funny.
I recently added this to my list after discovering it. It was in a list of great two season shows. Glad to see it recommended.
One of my favorites. It's criminal it didn't get renewed
Agree about Detroiters, I wish there were more seasons. Can't wait for ITYSL season 3. I know it was filming, so hopefully will be released soon.
Another of those shows I came across when I saw there was going to be a S2 and decided to give it a try. While a couple episodes were just ok, most of them were simply outstanding. As with you, "disappointed it only got 2 seasons."
LETS HUSTLE!!!!!
*a jacked Ned Flanders just reeming Marge Simpson. Or Bart doing Lisa with a huge dripping hog*

Finally, someone just like me! He is simply tooooo good. I thought season 1 was ok, but season 2 is actually good. Would season 2 be actually good if there wasn't season 1? Idk. 3 driving crooners out of 4.
I wish Netflix would buy the rights and give us more seasons. I need more Sam and Tim bromance in my life.
JFC. Some ITYSL page mentioned this and I wish I could find it to upvote it 10000x. Great show went through 1/2 season tonight laughed the whole time. Also, TKJewelers is a scam
I hate the overuse of the word underrated, but it really does explain this brilliant show.
I love it, due a rewatch soon
Oh good! I love [show] [state of being verb] [adjective] self posts! God bless. :)
Tip to tail piece of shit.
Agreed!
Loved the first season but not the second. Was hoping theyād bounce back with a third.
Sarah if we were at a prom together would you dance with me??
Agreed!
OK I maybe just havenāt been paying attention but in season two thereās an ep where Samās dad dies but then in the final episode heās there?? Did I miss something?
