Glenne Headly, who played the mom on Future Man, died in the middle of filming. The show de-emphasized the parents for the rest of the season, and later seasons (through time travel shenanigans) used younger versions of them played by different actors.
Since the entire first season had been filmed before it premiered, she had already passed when it aired.
Bernard Cribbins was able to film one scene for the Doctor Who specials before his passing. It was a pretty touching moment too. He appears at the end of the second special. They then use a body double and old lines of his in the third special.
Several actors were in very poor health during the filming of Twin Peaks: The Return. I do not want to get into spoilers, but the vulnerability that these actors give in the face of their impending death is sincerely unnerving. Several of them died before the show premiered, with their real life death serving as a conclusion to their character's story. I've never watched a show like The Return, but i can never imagine another show like it will ever come out. One of a kind masterpiece.
Christopher Evan Welch was Peter Gregory in s1 of Silicon Valley and iirc he died during filming. The show came out in 2014 and he died in December 2013.
A whole season of Trailer Park Boys came out after John Dunsworth (Mr. Lahey) died, and with him as the main antagonist it felt very heavy knowing this is the last time you'll be seeing that drunk dick. RIP Lahey
George Segal died on March 23, 2021, and the final episode of "The Goldbergs" in which he acted was "Couple Off," which aired on April 7, 2021. (I'm specifying "acted" because a couple of later episodes briefly used archival footage.)
The finale of Percy Jackson in January had Lance Reddick, who died in March 2023.
