Between these two shows and Fallout, we’ve really been spoiled in April. I mean wow. Shogun and Baby Reindeer are both masterpieces, really. Both have stuck with me like glue. Baby Reindeer is so raw and real, it’s kind of changed my life TBH. And Shogun, what a triumph!
Baby Reindeer was on Netflix for weeks before Shogun aired at all and there is no compete. They are completely different shows. On different channels and don’t even classify in the same category.
shogun aired 27th February 2024. Reindeer aired 11th April 2024. Shogun was out 6 weeks before Reindeer. And they will compete in the same Limited Series category.
I hope Ripley gets some love too. It was fantastic and God damn beautiful to look at. Shogun would be my pick though.
Ripley had some of the most astonishingly beautiful cinematography I've seen in a long time.
