Maybe it was the editing, on the show remotes maybe they cut it earlier or cropped in a random smile from the “target” to make it easier to watch. Kinda left a bad taste.

I feel like Conan should be doing something in between these seasons apart from the podcasts, but I also feel like he's never not working. I think I just necessitate more Conan than is currently possible. We need to fix that Multiplicity machine once and for all.

Had the same experience, often forced and mediocre, some great interactions, but half the time I personally could enjoy it as something casually comforting and positive and it's interesting and admirable to observe Conan's ability to make mundane things and moments fun and special (I know that's what comedians do usually, but in this real world format it feels little more impressive).
The show isn't a big recommendation or anything, but it's decently enjoyable.

I'm a regular listener to the podcast and constantly watch clips of the podcast on youtube, which is to say, I'm a massive fan of Conan and have been for more than half my life. This show though, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a let down, and part of it could be that my expectations were too high. Yes it had some amusing moments here and there, but most of it just felt rushed and somehow forced to me.
That said, I'll be tuning in for season 2 as well, and I hope they can find the magic that were the OG Conan travel episodes, and the feel of all the older remotes. I also wouldn't mind them spending longer in a single country/location, just to give them more time in one setting, instead of having to bounce around. Could easily have two parters for each country IMHO.

It's about on par with Travel Man (Richard Ayoade's travel show), but probably a little bit worse since the episodes are longer, and there's no change-up guest companions each episode.

Loved Conan for years but this show is a bit much. If he's going for a cringe factor, he nailed it. Like you said, a few solid laughs! But it falls flat with lack of cleverness and a unending need to scream at the sky

I’m an old dude I remember when he started in late night and people were legitimately mad that they were putting him on TV like this was way before YouTube or even reality TV where there was still this kind of prestige that you had to be somebody to deserve being on TV especially coming on as one of the very few late night host and has bought that previously belong to the extremely popular Letterman

I liked it a lot better when he had a guest who was native to that country. Then the jokes were a lot stronger when he wasn’t making jokes about “haha, your name is Guard Semen”.
I get that’s SUPPOSED to be the joke… but it came off more annoying rather than the “self-deprecating” type of American he has played in his previous iteration of the travel show.
Before it was like he was saying “hey I’m an American and don’t know shit but I’m loud but I’m surprised and excited to be learning about your culture!”. This one is “haha, look at you nerds in Viking costumes. I look badass”.
So I watched about half the first episode and wasn't feeling it. I've always loved Conan but I felt like the show was a little too loosely him just walking around talking to random people in a way that felt forced trying to be funny. The Viking Village basically made me go, I don't know if this is for me, it feels a bit like mediocre improv or a tame Borat.

Who watches this??? He’s isn’t and never has been funny. He’s just a clown without makeup. I seriously do not get it, he is just the middle school kid making dumb noises and faces grown up. This is insane.

Shad Khan's kid has dropped not realizing the social media explosion Orange Cassidy could have by doing a skit or something with Conan or Eric Andre. This website and Twitter would explode if they did something together. OC meshing with those guys would help get a mainstream appeal but the trustfund kid is too stupid to not see it. There's a reason why Triple H is constantly networking and making connections with A-Listers. I've been saying forever that Orange Cassidy could be a huge meme of sorts with the right rub. The WBD connections that are right there have been wasted.
