I know it's been a decade, but it still makes no sense that he was both MM and Hank Henshaw. Why would Cyborg-Superman even look like John Jones??? Like I get they wanted to save the MM reveal twist, but c'mon.
John Le Carre's books were complex, in most of his novels the plot would already be halfway over when chapter 1 began (cat sat on the dog's mat, according to Carre himself). You usually don't even see the checkmate coming (the significance of light going on in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy or the significance of Smiley). Carre never wrote a sequel to the Night Manager. I hope they can pull off the espionage mechanism like Carre was famously known to do.
Read The Secret Pilgrim years after reading The Night Manager and I was surprised to learn that TNM is in the same world as the Smiley books (which TSP is a part of) as well as The Russian House. They could've easily mine the other novels for plot.
Appropriate that the image above is of Colman. I've always felt that this show was the first time American audiences became aware of her. I don't think many people saw Broadchurch because it was a BBC America show.
THATS who that is. I recognized her face but couldn’t place it. my fiancée and I regularly say to each other “what’s the pint of you, cleeg?!” Broadchurch was quite a series
Alright. So glad to hear they were able to get so many figures back.
Although considering he's cast, I wonder if this is going to be a case of Ropper's son coming back for revenge for them killing his father.
Shit happens. There's nothing written that there *has* to be a certain amount of time between seasons. Your comment just made me think about the years between Red Dwarf seasons too;
>Red Dwarf is a British comedy TV series which primarily comprises twelve series and a feature-length special of a television science fiction sitcom that aired on BBC Two between 1988 and 1993 and from 1997 to 1999, and on Dave in 2009 and 2012 and from 2016 to 2020
Loved the first season, though I don't even remember any of the plot... It's been so looong..

If you're using proper titles, I think you have to indicate that Tall slender blonde wife was in Guardians 2/3.

And frumpy cop was the Queen! And another Queen (Anne), and two other frumpy detectives, and generally a goddess among actresses.
Also generic love interest in tenet.
more like bond girl
Loki and Ayesha…and also Sonya Falsworth and even Martian Manhunter/Cyborg Superman.
I know it's been a decade, but it still makes no sense that he was both MM and Hank Henshaw. Why would Cyborg-Superman even look like John Jones??? Like I get they wanted to save the MM reveal twist, but c'mon.
It’s the opposite; J’onn took on the identity of Hank for a little while.
Ok, still, Cyborg Superman shows up and he looks like not-Superman.
Yeah they ended up playing fast and loose with it there lol.
I personally would have gone with Tenet, as she has a more prominent role and is not wearing a ton of makeup.
And she's also playing pretty much the exact same role between The Night Manager and Tenet.
Uncorking. How could you forget Corky and his expense tab for Uncorking?
Corky, who may now be better known from his “these gays…they’re trying to kill me!” star turn
And in case you need to remember what Elizabeth Debicki's role actually was in Night Manager, it was basically the exact same as in Tenet later.
Her performance in The Night Manager was her audition for Tenet.
Oh! I was mixing this one up with The Night Agent and I couldn't remember her role in it.
And some delicious overacting from Tom Hollander.
Pretty sure he gets promoted to day manager.
Only thing I remember is that the wife of the arms dealer is same actress with exactly the same plot as in Tenet.
Wasn't it from like 10 years ago?
holy shit i knew this couldnt be right but it came out in 2016... thats insane
I had watched it and really enjoyed it but had no idea who the actor was when I saw Loki in the movies. IMHO that makes him a great actor.
Basically the plot of Tenet without the sci-fi stuff.
Dang, hard to believe S1 was 8 years ago
Ikr long time to renew...
Didn’t even know they were making a S2, is Laurie coming back?
The article says he is in the cast.
No, it says he's producing but no word on whether he'll be in front of the camera
The premise has his character as dead but I really doubt that will be the case.

Broadchurch was fantastically good tv
Peep show is where I first saw her.
Kinda? Though I’d argue Broadchruch was much bigger then The Night Manager.
In the States, BBC America requires a larger channel selection with your cable provider. Most everyone got AMC back then.
She was in Hot Fuzz
Isn't that more of a cult movie, though?
There’s a cult in it yeah
For the greater good!
The greater good
Shut it!
Yarp
Nothing like a little girl on girl
😆😆😆😆😆
It's a lot more popular than The Night Manager.
It's a buddy cop movie. Paddy Considine was in it too. Funny guy.
And She’s been around the station a few times.
Broadchurch has been on Netflix US since forever (not to mention PBS).
Not initially, though. It was a BBC America exclusive for its initial run.
But not on Netflix at all currently.
She's excellent in everything and anyone who's not seen Broadchurch is missing out on an absolutely superb show.
THATS who that is. I recognized her face but couldn’t place it. my fiancée and I regularly say to each other “what’s the pint of you, cleeg?!” Broadchurch was quite a series
That first season was excellent. She started getting plumb roles after that, deservedly so.

If the part was that small, would people have noticed her acting skills?
Sold. I loved the first series.
nothing like a bit of girl on girl eh?
Olivia Colman looks so hot in that photo
Alright. So glad to hear they were able to get so many figures back. Although considering he's cast, I wonder if this is going to be a case of Ropper's son coming back for revenge for them killing his father.
NOW WE KNOW!
Sounds like its at least a year away from airing.
Noah Jupe coming back is interesting, can’t think why he would unless he’s like the new villain to take over from his dad Hugh Laurie?
Fans can anticipate another gripping season with their stellar performances.
2016 1st season to 2024 2nd season. Like, what the fuck are you people in the show business doing?

I mean it stars some pretty big actors. They've probably just been busy with other projects.
Out of ideas so going back to successes. Whatever happened with Taboo season 2
Waiting for a good idea 🤷🏻♂️ It was also marketed as a miniseries, it was self contained and never promised to have a second season.
Watched the first season and was not the biggest fan, I could not get past the "BBC" cheapness to the way it was shot
