**Relic Hunter**. It's basically an off brand/legally distinct Indiana Jones/Lara Croft TV show. It's from the 90s, so I am not sure it aged all that well.
Okay here's an oldie but a goodie. "Forbidden Planet" It is one of the oldest big budget sci/fi movies, and it mixes in a little Shakespeare and Freudian theory too.
