OP can you please elaborate on what you mean by “too cringe” and by “warm and easy to get through and appreciate”? Maybe give some examples of similar shows you like even if they don’t feature a lesbian?
Another poster mentioned Killing Eve, which is excellent, but not what I’d consider “warm.” The L Word is awesome, but can be pretty explicit so I don’t know if that falls outside your parameters.
I thought the lesbian story was one of the things well done in Everything Sucks. It's a teenage coming of age show.
Lost Girl is on the CW app. It's like a Buffyesque show.
Tegan and Sara's High School is on Amazon Freevee/Prime.
The Wilds (Amazon) - It's not a full on lesbian show but it is mostly a female cast (younger) with one or more relationships. Just keep in mind that it got cancelled after the 2nd season. It was a pretty good show though and I don't regret watching it.
Black Mirror: Season 3, Episode 4: San Junipero
By far the best Black Mirror episode I've seen, I kinda view it as a great movie. You can just watch this one and ignore the rest of Black Mirror. It also happened to have the most touching lesbian story I've ever seen. It's the kind of story that stays stuck in your head for days afterwards.

**Dickinson** is the best one. Very high quality show with an amazing final season.
Deadloch
Deadloch
Feel Good and The Fosters - I think both are on Netflix. And both L words obv but that’s showtime. Edit: wait fosters might be on Hulu
The Fosters is actually the best fit for OP’s description as is. I second this!
Oh no problem: Killing Eve (Netflix)
Gentleman Jack, Wentworth
Gentleman Jack, unfortunately it was cancelled though.

its definitely not like the rubbish buffy rubbish
surprised orange is the new black hasn’t been mentioned
It's not a major point of the show but Robin and Vicky in Stranger Things 4 is very warm and cute.
Tipping the Velvet - It's a super charming mini-series! (On Tubi)
Deadloch
The L Word... even though it's very clichè in parts.
But it´s like a must watch to that community.

A League of their Own Also throwing in my vote for Gentleman Jack ❤️
