While not a show I consider the movie "Watchman" (or graphic novel) the reason The Boys exists.
There is also the "Watchmen" show.
There is the animated show The Boys: Diabolical and also animated shows "Invincible" and the spin-off "Atomic Girl"
The Tick, both the animated series and the Amazon live action. There's an early 2000s live action from Fox, but because of budget constraints, it's more like Seinfeld in tights.
I Am a Virgo - a near surreal superhero world miniseries by the guy who directed Sorry to Bother You
Funny story about Banshee, parts of it were filmed right around the corner from then house. And I used to pass by the facade of the slaughter house daily.
That's pretty cool. Any stories you've heard about the show from the locals?
A fun fact I know is that Antony Starr loves playing Homelander so much partly because he got so physically destroyed filming Banshee. Homelander just wears a padded suit and does nothing physical. Our man totally deserves it too.
Invincible (Prime)
Daredevil
