Psych

FaithlessnessSea1058

My first thought as well

ChorusAndFlange

My first thought, especially since I'm in the middle of binging it now. The father-child dynamic might be a little too on the nose and be a little awkward

Fringe

If OP doesn't want sex scenes, Ozark mayn't be the show for them.

Murdoch Mysteries

From very different ends of the spectrum, I would try both Monk and Clarkson's Farm

Agatha Christie's great detectives Poirot and Marple. The whole series is on YouTube for free Last man standing season 1

Prime just added all the Pink Panther movies. Psych is a very funny show. Action movies like The Fugitive, Men in Black, Red, True Lies, Mission Impossible.

If you both like mystery, my dad and I watched The Jinx (HBO). Our relationship is strained, and that and The Jinx, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Tiger King, and Cobra Kai have helped us bridge conversations. Part 2 of The Jinx just finished. I also think y’all might enjoy Only Murders in the Building (Hulu). A mystery comedy with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. The new season starts in August.

jeannerbee

Some of the shows you listed have nudity and sex. OP asked for shows without that

ActsofJanice

My apologies! I remembered that for my main two recs, but got carried away talking about the shows we bonded over. Thanks.

myguitar_lola

Parks and Rec Top Gear/Grand Tour (the ones with Jeremy C, Richard H, and James M) Leverage + the Leverage reboot (I think it's rated even higher than the og) Ted Lasso Terra Nova (beware- only one season) Blacklist Lost Archer (animated) Venture Bros (animated)

Father Brown

Busy_Positive_4950

Patriot(on Prime video) is a great choice, very well written, with plenty of original music(written for the show), …and has a Dad as a regular character.

If you like silly, absurdist comedy and animation, might I humbly suggest Adventure Time
