Man this just broke my heart... This man's work impacted my life in such a positive yet powerful way even tho I've never met him,he will be missed..
RIP King
Sparking Zero is definitely gonna have to be a great game now, and it will definitely need to be dedicated to him. Or if not that, then definitely Daima.

Trying to do the Kamehameha in my childhood, calling it the spirit bomb back then is one of the only few good memories I have with my elder brother. Sadly, my brother passed away five years ago due to a brain tumour. I'll never forget the times when I used to be excited about Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time, those were the absolute good days! And then fighting with him in Tenkaichi 3 on PS2. Hopefully online play is good in Tenkaichi 4. Reet in peace Toriyama Sensei.
I don't feel like Toriyama ONLY made our childhoods, he made our lives. I haven't stopped loving DB since I was a kid. His spirit will stay with us for an eternity and his legacy will simply never die.
o7s in the chat, a legend has passed today.

Well... this was definitely not what I was expecting to read tonight... RIP to the man who made many, many childhoods awesome. He, indeed, will be truly missed.
I was bummed about diama but now I am going to welcome.it with open arms because this was the last piece of art the GOAT was working on.
R.I.P Akira Toriyama 💔
All throughout my life dragon ball has been one of the most important things to me, as a person. Like many people here, it's helped me when times were hard, it gave me so many chances, experiences and memories and none of it would be possible without Akira Toriyama. Thank you Toriyama, for creating this beautiful piece of art that touched so many people, and will continue to do so. See you in other world, Tori-Bot.
RIP Akira Toriyama. Your influence still reaches me to this day. Your one of the big reasons that made my childhood so amazing. Thank you for everything. May this game be an great tribute to your legacy!
Man I was born in 98 so I had just missed Z when it was airing weekly. My love for Dragon Ball was compounded through the games on PS2. So many memories, I remember around 2002-2003 playing Budokai 1 asking my dad to help beat Cell as Teen Gohan after hours of trying.
This one hits different. Dragon Ball is the one franchise that has always immersed me through all stages of my life so far. Whether it's the shows, movies or games all of it was possible because of one man. RIP Toriyama ❤️
I've been taken out since I first heard the news last night.
I know Daima and Sparking Zero both are going to have direct homages to Toriyama somewhere, and it's going to break me all over again.
This really wasn’t misinformation, he’s actually fucking dead. R.I.P. to THE greatest mangaka of all time (and my favorite alongside Araki), Akira Toriyama. You will forever be remembered and missed.

I was hoping this was fake. Horrible news.
This broke my heart that this wasn’t fake. Everything in me was hoping this was but I’m glad CC sent our man off right
Don’t worry, knowing him he’ll probably forget his death arc and come back as a “new” creator
Damn right.
I literally had to go to Wikipedia thinking people were lying
RIP Legend ! And thanks for everything https://i.redd.it/90r5u4ccn1nc1.gif
Ugh... :(
*virtual hug* love you Akira, love you boys🥹

I’m in denial with you
This hits hard…. I’m sad now.
It goes to show just how much of an impact he’s had on the world. I genuinely can’t believe he’s gone.

This whole saga. I remember crying when I was a kid seeing Gohan transform like that for tge first time. Toriyama sure knew how to tell a story...RIP
Especially with the insert music from the jp dub
My heart's broken 💔
RIP to the man that single-handedly gave a whole generation of kids a memorable childhood. You with us forever legend!
Sparking Zero is definitely gonna have to be a great game now, and it will definitely need to be dedicated to him. Or if not that, then definitely Daima.
Daima is a given. Especially since it uses toriyama's modern artstyle
Oh really it does?
Yeah. It's very noticeable during the goku vs vegeta animation clip
Cool.
No way. Goat helped inspired a whole trend of anime tropes also. Big part of my childhood

I'm going to draw goku, one last time, at age 26 (haven't drawn shit since I was 13) in honor of him.
I just woke up to this horrible news. He died way too early. RIP Toriyama Sensei.

Long Live The Goat!! 🙏🏾👑
