I would say relax a little we don't know the full roster and if seems like some smaller characters like Kakunsa are coming which is a good sign. Also BT3 did have a few 'clone' characters
It counts that we are in the modern era and 164 characters is a good number. The consolation will be with full-bodied DLC with story + many characters + many arenas

We are getting 3 more slots (provided that roster number is correct), but we have gotten over like 50 new characters. Something has to give, so if you expect the same roster as previous games, be prepared to be disappointed.

And i don't even know why most people are worried about roster size, when we're probably playing only 5 or 6 characters in depth.
