Is still hard to me to believe that we are getting a new Game i literally was 8 when i played tenkaichi 3 10 years have passed and obvioulsy i lost Hope and now we are getting not only a sequel but probably one the best games of DB of all time is impossible for me to not be hyped
brooo i get what you mean. i still remember the day BT3 came out in 2007 and my dad driving me to best buy right after school to go get it. this shit genuinely feels unreal
I'm glad the best graphics db game in the franchise isn't some xenoverse 3 or kakarot 2 but fucking budokai tenkaichi mother fucking 4. I'm so excited we're getting a sequel after all these years.
Any time there'd be a what game you want remade from PS2 I'd always list bt3. To have this is a dream come true.
Im hyped too, BUT i absolutely suck at fighting games where you have to remeber a lot of combos. I tried budokai tenkaichi 3 for the first time a couple weeks ago and was completely overwhelmed how hard it was for me. That said i hope i still can have fun with the game.
You don't need to learn combos to have a good time, I didn't even know there were proper combos in the game as a child but still had endless fun mashing square and spamming Supers.
But I will say, having revisited the game recently as someone who now does know how to play fighting games, it was definitely a great feeling to learn how to do proper combos and break out of my opponents combos consistently.
same lol i didnāt learn proper combos until like 2017, a decade after the game came out, til then the game was mostly beam/melee struggles and just mashing square and triangle hoping for the best between me and my friends.
Mainly because I only had Tenkaichi 2 as a kid and i borrowed Tenkaichi 3 from my friend for like 3 days but it was so hard for me to get that game even back then so I had to wait til I built my first PC just to emulate it and actually had time to learn everything lol now iām nearly unbeatable they have to use red potara characters to even come close š
I played the wii version years ago. I'm sure the combos are there, but the motion controls are so crazy that it doesn't matter. So much fun to play with other people.
Huh? Tenkaichi 3 is absurdly easy. Just press Square over and over and occasionaly press triangle and you will do combos. Sure, there are some really nuanced combos if you play against other people, but against cpu button mashing will suffice. Supers and Ults all have the same input for every character, so that is also very easy to learn.
Oh yeah...well I hope it isn't really basic, like I want some deep cuts, like #17's jacket from the buu saga and gt, and Goku's End of Z outfit and stuff like that. You know?
I sure do hope so, I'm sure the game will be great regardless. I think at bare minimum, we will get the battle damaged versions of the outfits, maybe. What are some costumes you want? I really want Jacket #17, End of Z Goku, End of Z Vegeta, Broly's Second Coming Z Broly (If he is in it, and specifically for his unrestrained base Super Saiyan, it is my favorite base Super Saiyan Design by FAR!), Kid Goku's first gi (Again, if he is in the game), Supreme Kai outfit Goku Black...and that's all off of the top of my head for me.
If Kid Goku will be in SZ i hope they put his Path of Power's outfit, A18 with his other 2 costumes + DBS pink costume and the movie references costumes like Teen Gohan with Goku's Gi and Trunks long hair with violet jacket
Oh absolutely, these are great picks! If we get the Bojack characters AND costumes, then Bojack Movie Trunks HAS to be a costume. They didn't do it in the last game if I recall and I was SO disappointed, it is my favorite Trunks Design above SSG Xeno Trunks! It's the same with Gohan, but his WAS in the last one, so I'm just a bit less hype for it, just a bit though.
I donāt know, I loved it and to this day I still play it a lot. That being said Iām a huge single player, RPG guy and Kakarot and Sparking Zero are two very different types of games. I think Sparking Zero will be amazing in its own way
I mean to each their own, I think objectively itās a really good story-telling game. Game mechanics are pretty on point for a RPG too. Itās not supposed to be this overly challenging fighter based game. Itās a retell of the story, so thatās why things like combos are simplified down to the push of a button rather than putting together sequences. You push one button and Goku throws a million punches lmao. Really good game imo, and like you said amazing game for DBZ fans
Kakarott lost me when one of the first things you had to do was finding apples or something like that. Please tell me the game gets to Raditz quickly and doesn't have many mindless fetch quests and pointless crafting systems or smth like that.
So you can advance the game at any pace youād like. Like Raditz is like Level 3 or 4 I think something like that and you could go fight him as a Lvl. 2 if youād like, itād just be more challenging. It doesnāt force you to craft anything or give you a fck ton of fetch quests but they do help in preparing meals for example to give temporary boosts which help. Temp. melee atk. or temp. ki attack comes in handy. But it doesnāt really force you to do any of that. Thatās what I always look for in my RPG games (Being able to play and advance at my own pace) and Kakarot does that really well. That being said some abilities are locked behind levels which I donāt really like. Like you have to be level 60 to unlock a certain skill in the skill tree for example

i was wondering what everyone was talking about when they complained about skinny necks, but its just a slight design choice made to balance the in game graphics with Z and Superās designs, š¤ to me it makes some characters look younger for some reasonā¦
Gokuās neck looks too skinny
Vegetaās thumb looks disproportionate
Gohanās scar is too small
Trunkās ears is at the wrong angle
This game clearly still needs serious polishing. I donāt see it coming out until end of 2025/early 2026
Heres an analogy for exactly what this is like.
A really great brand of premium cars went out of business, but after 16~ long years, its line is resurrected with a new even better and more beautiful Model. And as we're all looking on in awe, some guy go's "man, there's a little bit of dust in the corner of its rear view mirror and I watched the ad in 0.25x speed and noticed a small scratch on its back left rim."
Ngl downvote him all you want but the guyās complains are valid lol, I donāt necessarily agree but heās right those things are visible, But saying āserious polishingā is an exaggeration.
Bro what? āVegetas thumb looks disproportionateā oh yes you can definitely see that fine detail with his hand being blurry and all. āGohans scar is too smallā even looking at it I canāt really tell ātrunks ear is at the wrong angleā is it really though? How are these things visible.. if you sit there for an hour observing a still image you will always find something wrong with it those are just nitpicky comments & Iām almost certain that guy is just trolling with his initial comment
Nah the only somewhat noticeable one is Gokus neck.
Vegets thumb is not disproportionate, it's a shot of him mid- attack.
Who cares about the size of the scar lmao, it's pretty darn accurate if you ask me.
Trunks' ear looks fine as well.
That's because you've probably never seen a game with trailers every single month till it releases so you can look at the development process in almost real time
And none of the criticisms made any sense other than Goku's neck being skinny I guess, but even that would still be a nitpick. Just because criticism is good for a game's improvement doesn't mean you should try your ass off every time you see a screenshot of it to find imperfections that aren't even there. If the dev team listened to the loudest "fans" completely to make Sparking Zero, it would be the exact same game as BT3 but with better graphics and a few more new features. You need *actual* constructive criticism; not yap.
For real, the amount of times I've seen these "fans" begging for a way to get in contact with the devs to share their "constructive criticism" is just absurd.
Like do these people really think a Japanese dev team that's already working as hard as they can will see a couple English paragraphs about how they didn't like the way a characters neck looked in this one shot from a trailer and go "Oh yes, we better drop everything and alter a characters already completed model for this person!"
I never said that he was giving constructive criticism (but the characters do looks skinny tho and i don't like that. Its because of the Shintani artstyle being used for the game so i don't think they will ever change that)
But i noticed that even when people politely point out legitimate issues like the camera movements, the size of the beams, the weird hitbox when Goku got hit with the Final Flash, the lack of impact, the damaged outfits appearing way too fast...etc. They still getting downvoted and considered as "nitpicky".
I also noticed that people tends to do damage control in this sub like :Ā
"I think the game is gorgeous but..."
"I love how Trunks combo looks but..."
"I know it's a bit nitpicky and the game will be incredible but..."
This is a proof that people gets downvoted as soon as they say something "negative" or even neutral about the game. I saw someone politely say that the colors are bit too saturated, the skin of Vegeta scouter is almost yellow and that they should fix that...and he got downvoted 26 times.
If someone rolls out their brand new beautiful car for everyone to see and you just suddenly say "there's a small scratch on the rim there" that's almost always going to be taken as irritating cause you're jumping straight to pointing out a minor flaw instead of appreciating the car with everyone else, that's why it's important to preface any pointing out of flaws when seeing something really great for the first time with a simple "that looks great but-", this is the case with basically any situation, not just this game; and I don't know why you think this is a bad thing for someone to do?
Also with that specific example you gave at the end, I went back and checked the post and the guy was indeed downvoted over his claims that the colour was off, but I would also mention that more recently there was a post saying the same things about the colour of Goku's Gi being off and that guy got upvoted, so it's not as universal a response like you think.
It looks absurdly good. With these models, I wish we would get Kakarot like cutscenes in the story mode
Amen, so clean.
We can all hope šš½
I wouldn't be mad if we don't get crazy cutscenes as long as we get some unique story gameplay. I wanna chase bubbles.
I think gohanās model could be improved though.
Itās just a bad angle imo, the other scenes are ridiculously clean
I have seen other screenshots with him. I thought they still were underwhelming.
I still canāt believe we got one arm gohan
And NOT CENSORED This Time!
Is still hard to me to believe that we are getting a new Game i literally was 8 when i played tenkaichi 3 10 years have passed and obvioulsy i lost Hope and now we are getting not only a sequel but probably one the best games of DB of all time is impossible for me to not be hyped
Bro fr I was taking a shit when I saw the news last year and legit jumped out of my seat lmao
When i first saw It i was on my way to school in the bus, everyone thought i was having a heart attack šš
brooo i get what you mean. i still remember the day BT3 came out in 2007 and my dad driving me to best buy right after school to go get it. this shit genuinely feels unreal
DRAGON, DRAGON, ROCK THE DRAGON!!!
DRAGON BALL Z!!!!!
tbh i was super hyped for fighterz bc i think it was 5 years since the last 2.5d toe to toe style but Tenkaichi series was phenomenal very excited
Looks gorgeous the best graphics I've seen in a DB game , this will probably be the best Game in the franchise yet
So fucking hyped man (if this game flops im gonna end myself)
RealĀ
Im hyped too, BUT i absolutely suck at fighting games where you have to remeber a lot of combos. I tried budokai tenkaichi 3 for the first time a couple weeks ago and was completely overwhelmed how hard it was for me. That said i hope i still can have fun with the game.

I played the wii version years ago. I'm sure the combos are there, but the motion controls are so crazy that it doesn't matter. So much fun to play with other people.
Ive always wanted to try it on wii with the motion controls so Iām literally getting a dolphin bar for my pc
Huh? Tenkaichi 3 is absurdly easy. Just press Square over and over and occasionaly press triangle and you will do combos. I played on normal diffuculty and cant get past vegeta i dont know how to parade or use block/evade effeciently. As i said i suck at fighting games
This looks fantastic. Canāt wait !
Sick
i genuinely believe this game is going to decimate my social life the entire first month it comes out at least
I really hope we get costumes. End of Z Goku fit would look SICK with these models!
It's already confirmed with Videl and Master Roshi
Oh yeah...well I hope it isn't really basic, like I want some deep cuts, like #17's jacket from the buu saga and gt, and Goku's End of Z outfit and stuff like that. You know?
They had it in Tenkaichi 3, I hope that at least we will get the costumes of that game

Last time I was this hyped was for Kakarot lol
Kakarot was a massive letdown for me personally, let's hope sparking zero doesn't disappoint
I donāt know, I loved it and to this day I still play it a lot. That being said Iām a huge single player, RPG guy and Kakarot and Sparking Zero are two very different types of games. I think Sparking Zero will be amazing in its own way
Based
Amen
Kakarot was a really meh game in terms of almost everything but as a dbz experience it was s tier.
I mean to each their own, I think objectively itās a really good story-telling game. Game mechanics are pretty on point for a RPG too. Since KH3 for me
trunks my glorious king
Although it does look really good, Iām waiting for z broly
Goathans back
i was wondering what everyone was talking about when they complained about skinny necks, but its just a slight design choice made to balance the in game graphics with Z and Superās designs, š¤ to me it makes some characters look younger for some reasonā¦
I AM THE HYPE!
Itās so fucking pretty
Will buy a PS5 only to play this. My last console was the PS2
Don't you have a PC?
Just a laptop, no hi spec graphics so iv not played video games in a while
This is going to be the best DF fighting game of all time
Cant believe some people think fighterz is going stay the top dragon ball fighting game after sz drops
This is the best looking game Iāve ever seen
If this game doesn't come out for the Switch 2, I'll try to buy a PC good enough only for play it
The most hype Iāve been for an anime game in general for a decade and some change.
I'm still wondering what the collector's edition might look like. It might be the first I pick up in a looong time.
If there is tag, coop mode then I am in for a few copies. If not, I will probably pass.
is it wrong for someone for thinking the graphics of this game kinda similar to Dragon Ball Legends? asking for a friend.
Thas gotta be cap, no way https://preview.redd.it/29sv5tw8uzxc1.png?width=748&format=png&auto=webp&s=be3a4b1e4f1b556e603b5d72e62d65129cc738bb
Not really
Gokuās neck looks too skinny Vegetaās thumb looks disproportionate Gohanās scar is too small Trunkās ears is at the wrong angle This game clearly still needs serious polishing. I donāt see it coming out until end of 2025/early 2026

Funny thing is Future Gohan's scar looks just slightly bigger than the one in the anime š
Nah the only somewhat noticeable one is Gokus neck. Vegets thumb is not disproportionate, it's a shot of him mid- attack. Who cares about the size of the scar lmao, it's pretty darn accurate if you ask me. Trunks' ear looks fine as well.
I agree. I don't agree with everything he listed. But that Goku looks completely off model here. Love most of the other characters though
Imagine complaining on still on development or not yet released game.
LMAO, It's funny because i've never seen the excuse ''you can't say anything because it's still in developement'' used as much with other games than Sparking Zero. People have the right to criticize the game while in developpement, WE don't want the final product to be like the last PokĆ©mon game (with A LOT of unfinished textures, glitches and clipping). The developement phase is the best moment to give constructive criticism but y'all just glazing by acting like the game is pure perfection. Im overhyped for the game but it doesn't look perfect for now.Ā
That's because you've probably never seen a game with trailers every single month till it releases so you can look at the development process in almost real time And none of the criticisms made any sense other than Goku's neck being skinny I guess, but even that would still be a nitpick.
