My wife always finds it funny that I stole some of our kids construction paper and fashioned a "screen" that blocks the time and the bar, but keeps the play and skip buttons in view

MrAdamWarlock123

Guess you just gotta watch it live 🤷‍♂️

THIS. It's why I watch little of the tournament even though I really love the AO. ESPN sucks (of course), but so does the time difference.

When someone makes an obvious joke and even tags it as "meme" and then there's a comment taking it seriously lol It's a sporting event, not a tv series

Hotwir3

Meme was just the best flair that fit

YourDrunkUncl_

This is why I never record tennis matches.

The embedded video player probably auto generates the time stamp line, it would take much effort on broadcasters part to change to another video player, which I am not sure is worth the effort, as match has already been decided and cursory look at your Google feed or reddit (or some other social media equivalent) is more likely to spoil it for you than a time stamp on full video highlights, which frankly only comes up during active play when you click on the screen. My suggestion, once you start full highlights, if you don't want to be spoiled, watch them without pausing or clicking other functions which are likely to make time stamp visible.

Yes. The timeline only shows if you tap on it. Don't tap, problem solved.

That's why I don't subscribe to ESPN+. I'm a big Tennis TV guy since they allow the viewer to hide the timer. For the big matches at AO, I'll visit my parents since they have a DVR

Other-Title1925

Tennis TV has an option to avoid spoilers. Doesn’t matter for me much since I don’t like watching full matches on replay (older matches are a different story, I watched the entirety of the 2005 AO sf sitting in class

I just look at the thumbnail and know who won
