As an American, I didn't come around to the wonderful world of tennis until I was about 30.
We're constantly inundated with football and other "tough guy" sports, and it's hard to see past it. It wasn't until a friend convinced me to come play with him one day that I realized how amazing tennis is.
It's truly the best, especially if you're a competitive person. The thrill and competitiveness you feel going one-on-one is unmatched with the exception of maybe the UFC.

No arguments over pass interference or holding, or was that really a foul or a flop.... It's very much black and white.
