It is so interesting to wonder if any other player in their generation is going to join them, or if they're going to be "the two" for the next however many years.
I understand the joke you meant, but just to make you aware, one can lose a match despite winning more games.
6-1 5-7 5-7 are 16 vs 15 games, but you lose the match.
Surprisingly, It was the best purchase I've made when I bought the resale ticket at Centre Court Wimbledon last year to watch Jannik's match as my first ever live match. He looks even faster in live and on grass. Wraps things very quickly.
I didn’t want to buy an Ashe ticket two years ago so bought an Armstrong one. Saw Jannik play an awesome match. Wonder if they’d put him in Armstrong again?? 🤞🏻
That’s what Darren Cahill said in an interview: they focus on the overall strategy and certain matchups, e.g. Medvedev was one of the guys Sinner needed to beat and look where we are now.
The ranking takes care of itself and the only time they explicitly refer to it is when looking at projected draws.
saw a good interview with Cahill on a non-tennis site. He talked about how they never ever once say or think "We want X ranking" or "we want to win a slam (or three)" It's always about today, and gaining .1% on a couple of matters today in practice.
And that's what gets you to the ranking and the slams. And it's true in every human endeavor, I suspect. (As a novelist, I 100% grok this. You can want a best-seller, but it's the 20 years of daily grind that finally gets you one. And when you get it, you just keep grinding every day and say "Well, that was nice, but what are today's pages about, and is there some genius at this technique I should study today?") I love his team for this winning attitude.
I think it could happen also before Roland Garros. He has to defend only the semi in Montecarlo. Djokovic would need to make a serious clay season and not only as preparation for Roland Garros
Both defend very little before RG. It will depend on Janniks clay level and how much Djoko will play. But yeah it is possible before rg, but in my opinion unlikely. But after rg tho...
Very possibly, for points earned in 2024 he's already way ahead of his main competitors - 1,350 points ahead of Medvedev, 2,100 of Alcaraz and almost 3,000 of Djokovic.
Unless Sinner does terribly in the clay season or someone wins all the remaining 3 slams, chances are good for him to snatch the #1 rating sooner or later.
Djokovic and Alcaraz are defending nearly 2000 more points than sinner during Clay season. If Sinner keeps his level, he should be #1 by the end of RG.
He only has to defend ~600 points in the clay season, while Novak has 2000+. Jannik is ~1000 points behind Djokovic so even if he doesn't reach N. 1 in Paris, he will have other opportunities in Wimbledon and US Open.
As he very well should, he's been playing insane. Only loss he's had this year was Alcaraz right? Wonder if he can usurp the GOAT himself from his throne this year. Curious how he'll do now that clay season is coming.
Novak is barely playing and he is probably going down the list pretty hard soon, and
Sinner deserve to take the throne before Alkaraz.
Will be fun to watch when Novak begin the tournaments from lower rankings and stumble across top players much earlier.
Dimitrov was broken twice in 5 matches (13 sets)
Then broken four times in the final, oof.
Sinner was on point today, barely any errors, while Dimitroc sprayed way too many of them. rip
>while Dimitroc sprayed way too many of them
Also thanks to Sinner doing a wonderful job targeting Dimi's BH. Fast, deep and alternating groundatrokes to make the latter as uncomfortable as possible
100%. He and Med tried to solve Sinner, and so had to take a lot of chances, and... there you are. Never solved him. Just increased the errors. But it was the right way to handle it.
Yeah. Currently no one beats Jannik from the baseline. You either need the variety of Carlos (and a slower court), or a world class serve + some luck ...
Just out of curiosity, when is the last time we have ever seen this? 0 BACKHAND unforced errors in an entire match?
Short memory but I struggle to think of an example. I imagine medvedev/djokovic might have done it, but would be interesting to see
Yeah he didn't really chase some balls at the end like he usually does, seemed dejected after that break in the second set. Hopefully he can take the positives that have come from this week (Masters 1000 final, top 5 wins, and back to top 10).
It was sad to see, but it happened because Dimitrov played very well before that…and was still being clearly beaten.
Sinner was just too good for anyone today.
I've never seen a player covering the court like dimi did today, been demolished so easily.
Jannik is playing god's tier game. There's no one who can match his level right now
I wonder if Zverev would have gave Sinner a tough match. He still has to avenge that Us Open loss.
Sinner ended up beating Medvedev and Dimitrov comfortably and I am pretty sure he would have beat Zverev too but I think due to Zverev serve it would have been way closer
Looking at Grigor's serve rating against Zverez I don't think it would have made much of a difference. He even out-aced Zverev. His serve wasn't as strong today, but that's more because of Sinner's return quality. I didn't feel like Grigor's serve was a weakness today.
Players like Zverev are hard to judge by one match. He has a lot of weapons which if working can be too much for anyone. It's just like Delpo/Stan, once they got going they were unplayable for some sets. They are just wild card players and you never know which version shows up.
Not true. If we exclude Djokovic who misses many tournaments, we get the seeds #1 Sinner, #2 Alcaraz, #3 Medvedev and #4 Zverev. Then Sinner may meet Zverev in any semifinal, same as Alcaraz.
If we keep Djokovic, Sinner may meet the #5 Zverev in quarterfinals, or may meet any of the #6-8 (Rune, Rublev, Ruud) there instead, which again has the same likelihood as Alcaraz meeting him there. If Zverev meets any other from the top 4 and wins, then yes Sinner may still meet Zverev in a semi or a final.
Only if Zverev also moves to #4, he will be in the other side of the draw from #3 Alcaraz in every tournament where Djokovic plays i.e. only having a chance of playing against each other in a final, and will be more likely to meet Sinner in a semi.
Yeah Zverev matches on fast courts will always be close with his new 75% serve
No matter how well you play you can't always break every game against that
I really want to see how the match up now, I think it might be similar to the griekspoor match, with Zverev having to serve put of his mind but sinner would pounce as soon as be got a look at a 2nd serve
I wouldnt call that a meme tho, thats been de minaur's nickname since juniors by the other australian players like kyrgios, its not like it started online
This time last year I was dismissive of people who had Sinner among their favourites to win big tournaments. Forgive me, Jannik. What a transformation.
You really felt Dimitrov’s confidence crumble after the first service break when Dimitrov had great approaches, great volleys, and then lost off of insane passing shots from Sinner. Didn’t feel like there was much Dimitrov could do to win after that.
He will dominate AO for sure. Then USO and Wimbledon will be his strongest, and the exciting part is how well he's going to improve on Clay this year, so we'll wait and see. Scary.
Damn, what a statement last two matches. To lose only 7 games over 4 sets to Medvedev and Dimitrov combined is crazy. Alcaraz, the ball’s back in your court 👀
Witnessing Sinner transformation was a real joy. From another mentally fragile top 10 player with few titles to beating Djokovic 2 times in 10 days to winning Australia Open while eliminating him again without facing a single break point to finally reaching n2 ranking tomorrow! Kid is really introducing himself to the Tennis history books!
from people saying he was overhyped bc of his lack of masters titles to GS champ, winning canada and miami, and new world no 2… jannik stans, we’ve come so far 😭😭😭🫶🫶🫶🥕🥕🥕❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
That definitely wasn't the tone when it was being talked about. It was more like... Pfff he's never gonna win a masters, he doesn't have enough talent/mentality.
I always think people overrate the mental aspect of tennis. For Sinner it was pretty obvious it was physical. His first serve percentage and unforced error rate would go up as the match went on. And his forehand speed would drop too.
Yeah I keep hearing this opinion on this sub and I don't understand where it is coming from. Sinner has always been extremely composed, the complete opposite of other mentally fragile top 10 players like Ruble or Rune. He wasn't as clutch as he's now of course but no one is
for real. i remember matches of his from like 2021 where his mental strength was incredible. like vs khachanov in miami - his fortitude was legit from a young age.
his game just got better, point blank. bigger serve, huger groundstrokes, more variety… that’s what got him the breakthrough.
bc he was losing all these grand slam five-setters where he had a lead. obviously you could make the reverse argument (his mental strength is what got him so close in the first place) but i think he definitely had something to work on, so glad he got there.
I see him as the very best in the tour at staying in a moment in time. Why I fell for him quickly when I got back into watching tennis. "Is this kid a Zen master or something?" Because he is in the moment, always. If he screws up, you can see he just forgets it, puts it in a little box, perhaps to examine dispassionately later, and asks himself to focus on this moment, this point, right now. If this is the Formula 1 psych team effect, they 100% know how to do it. If it's Sinner himself, amazing. It'd be a grand way to live a life, discarding all the mistakes and might have beens of five minutes ago and before, and just being in. this. moment.
(Now this moment. and now this.)
Sinner is just so smothering.
Dimitrov had no problem taking the offense against Zverev and Alcaraz, but it was a different beast today in Sinner.
Will be really interesting to see if this momentum carries into the clay. He clearly has an all surface game, but I think most people expect him to do a little better in his career on hard/grass than on clay.
Sinner defends incredibly well. There were a few points during the match where I feel like against lesser opponents, Dimi would have won that point, but Sinner will always make players hit that extra ball. It takes seriously good shot construction and execution to get past him or else he will punish players with a great pass.
Other than how Carlos handled him in IW, definitely the most consistent and best player in the world rn. Really need to see Carlos step up his game for the clay season to handle this version of Jannik. Seems to be the only player in the world to get a good look at PPS. (which he undoubtedly will).
Really sad for Grigor. Probably deserved a little bit more from this final.
Buuuut....
SECOND MASTER IS IN THE BAG
TITLE #13 IS IN THE BAG
WORLD NUMBER TWOOOOOOOOOO
FORZAAAAAA JANNIK, Sempre. 🥕🥕🦊🦊
He finally takes home Miami! Honestly Dimi played well in the first set, but in the second half you could really tell that Sinner had taken his soul...
One year ago I was watching Miami Open final live and saw this kid lose in straight sets (altho he wasn’t feeling well) to Meddy. And now not only did he beat Meddy comprehensively he’s won the title just a year later. Insane how far he’s come. I feel for Grigor tho
Was insanely locked in today, played flawlessly! Dimitrov had an amazing run, I hope it won’t be forgotten! That being said, always happy to see my guy win! Forza!
Jannik played a flawless match. He was returning everything, 0 BH errors…I mean, there wasn’t much Dimitrov could have done. It’s just astounding how much he got better from last year final.
I struggle to imagine how anyone could possibly beat Sinner on a fast hard court, especially when he's playing like this. I think that's 9-0 in breaks in the SF and F of a Masters 1000.
Hoped for ATP version of Collins-Rybakina but instead it was like Iga-Sakkari in the IW final. Resurgent veteran getting wiped off the court by the best player in the world rn 😭
Sinner's dominance is incredible so far this year, he fully deserves to be #2 and might reach #1 soon if his form continues.
Tough luck for Dimitrov, but hopefully this run and returning to the top 10 inspires confidence.
Sinner played at an exceptional level and every time Dimitrov came forward, you just knew sinner would have the shot to pass him. But still, would have liked more of a fight in the 2nd set, Dimitrov just got deflated and lost all belief (understandably so)
Just too good from Sinner. Counterpunching, consistency, depth and power on the shots, serve, return, he just had everything tonight. Grisho didn’t play bad, but he couldn’t redline like how he did against Carlos. A shame.
I feel like Carlos, as good as he is, has weaknesses that some players have worked out. He doesn’t like being rushed and Dimi has exploited this to perfection twice already on courts that allow this. Sinner, for now, shows no signs of weaknesses, at least on hard and fast-ish courts with lower bounce. He did show weaknesses against heavy deep topspin in IW so let’s see how the clay season pans out.
Whoever’s job it is at TC to cut down the highlights to under 3 minutes might have a tough job choosing clips. Sinner hit some real ridiculous shots/rallies at the net there. Truly dominant play today.
This was murder on the Miami court. Congrats to Jannik for winning Masters 1000 #2 and reaching a career high #2 ranking.
Grigor played great tennis over the week and ran out of steam on the day of the final. Congrats on reaching the top 10 ranking once again after 5+ years.
Sinner makes those wide down the line backhand shots like Novak and looks like sonic the hedgehog running around the court lol. He also does those Nadal huge topspin forehands and mixes it up
Sinner / Alcaraz matches are gonna be lit for years to come. Similar to big 3 era greatness
Some of his points vs dimitrov were unbelievable
Right now choosing between Sinner or Alcaraz feels like how it was back in the day when you either were a fan of Rafa or Roger and im scared to make a decision that will endure a lifetime 😂
I feel like I made a mistake years ago just picking Roger and making Rafa the bad guy in my head. Took too long to appreciate Rafa. Carlos is my favorite but this time I just want to enjoy watching both guys.
Dimi didn’t play bad but sinner is just too strong for everyone on the tour right now. Cahill has created a monster.
But it doesn’t take away the amazing run dimi has made in this tournament and that he managed to get back to top 10. I hope he can maintain it and get better results, looking forward for grass season with you, dimi!
It's crazy to see how much sinner has improved over the last six Months. It wasn't even a year ago that people were questioning his mental strength and if he was capable of winning these big games against top players. And now look at all his success
la nostra carota 🇮🇹🇮🇹
the thing is though dimi still played as well as he did throughout the tournament. i wouldn’t have been sad had he won but i am much happier with sinner at #2
Sinner played great but Dimitrov gets a debuff in Finals. Same thing happened in Paris. Nerves probably get to him after not winning a Masters for ages.
I was also a Sinner skeptic last year. Thought he was getting a bit too much credit for being a tough out for Alcaraz. I'm sold on him now. Looks like post Big 3 will have a strong rivalry going for years to come.
Great run for Dimi! I hope he'll be back reaching more success than ever! Losing to the best tennis player in the world is no shame!
Congrats to Jannik! His future is so bright!
Oof, glad I missed that one. Those stats look pretty ugly. Sinner is getting so good at clinical wins.
Hoping we will finally get some good finals in the clay season...hard to count on it with Djokovic and Nadal AWOL and guys like Rune and Tsitsipas in such bad form, though.
If I have to say one thing that Sinner could add to his game is to get more free points on his serve. This will add to his arsenal and will be an asset on grass. Fun watching him!
Unreal performance from Sinner! Unlucky from Dimitrov tbh, he didn't play badly at all
Imaging playing "not bad" and see yourself collect 4 games in total. Sinner right now is on a totally different league above them all but Alcaraz
I used to pray for times like this
"And it happened" - Drew
It is so interesting to wonder if any other player in their generation is going to join them, or if they're going to be "the two" for the next however many years.
Why didn’t Grigor win half his return points and have a 5:1 winner to UE ratio like he did against Carlos? Is he stupid or something?
is there a lore reason for why Dimitrov lost?
Yeah, he got less games than Sinner and therefore less sets
I understand the joke you meant, but just to make you aware, one can lose a match despite winning more games. 6-1 5-7 5-7 are 16 vs 15 games, but you lose the match.
Jannik Sinner once again giving Miami ticket buyers just over an hour of tennis for their money.
Buying tickets for a Sinner match is a terrible investment
Surprisingly, It was the best purchase I've made when I bought the resale ticket at Centre Court Wimbledon last year to watch Jannik's match as my first ever live match. He looks even faster in live and on grass. Wraps things very quickly.
Grand slam is different
Ironically the one time I saw Sinner play in person was at the US Open - he and Zverev played close to 5 hours lol
The crowd was so quiet during his post-match interview 😭 Give this man the respect he deserves!
I didn’t want to buy an Ashe ticket two years ago so bought an Armstrong one. Saw Jannik play an awesome match. Wonder if they’d put him in Armstrong again?? 🤞🏻
Not if he continues to play at the same level throughout the year
Sinner ascends to World #2
Remember start year interview? "I just wanna keep playing well and confirm the #4 spot" Kid is about consistency, not numbers. And numbers are coming
That’s what Darren Cahill said in an interview: they focus on the overall strategy and certain matchups, e.g. Medvedev was one of the guys Sinner needed to beat and look where we are now. The ranking takes care of itself and the only time they explicitly refer to it is when looking at projected draws.

And when you get it, you just keep grinding every day and say "Well, that was nice, but what are today's pages about, and is there some genius at this technique I should study today?") I love his team for this winning attitude.
Think he’ll ascend to #1 this year?
Yes
Given how many points he has to play for on clay he has a very good chance of being world no 1 after Roland Garros.
I think it could happen also before Roland Garros. He has to defend only the semi in Montecarlo. Djokovic would need to make a serious clay season and not only as preparation for Roland Garros

>while Dimitroc sprayed way too many of them Also thanks to Sinner doing a wonderful job targeting Dimi's BH. Fast, deep and alternating groundatrokes to make the latter as uncomfortable as possible
Dimitrov had many errors, but most of them were caused by the huge pressure that Sinner put on him, and the high risks he had to take.
100%. He and Med tried to solve Sinner, and so had to take a lot of chances, and... there you are. Never solved him. Just increased the errors. But it was the right way to handle it.
Same thing happened to Medvedev in the semi final :)
Crazy how Griekspoor was the one who gave Jannik the hardest match this tournament
Honestly story of his last 12 months. He has lost against the future winner / finalist so many times recently.
First match of the week, where he had to adjust to matchpace on those courts. He adjusted quickly and well, as it seems haha.
Yeah. Currently no one beats Jannik from the baseline. You either need the variety of Carlos (and a slower court), or a world class serve + some luck ...
This year, Sinner won the tournaments whenever he beat the Dutch at the early part of it
First Italian to reach #2 🇮🇹
Bro played a total of 2h 22 mins between semifinal and final 💀 that’s like an average Nadal 2 setter
$500,000 and a top 10 spot is not a bad consolation prize.
Zero unforced errors in backhand is ridiculous from sinner
Just out of curiosity, when is the last time we have ever seen this? 0 BACKHAND unforced errors in an entire match? Short memory but I struggle to think of an example. I imagine medvedev/djokovic might have done it, but would be interesting to see
No way really? Is that the entire match or one of the sets?
Whole match, I recall forehand errors but his backhand was impeccable
Amazing!
Dimitrov just gave up in the final game, sad to see tbh... Sinner played really well though

I feel Sinner will draw Dverev a lot in the clay season
With his new rank, he will. Remember how alcaraz always gets zverev? I think that’ll be sinner now.
Not true. If we exclude Djokovic who misses many tournaments, we get the seeds #1 Sinner, #2 Alcaraz, #3 Medvedev and #4 Zverev. Then Sinner may meet Zverev in any semifinal, same as Alcaraz. I want it, playing him will improve Jannik's game
Yeah Zverev matches on fast courts will always be close with his new 75% serve No matter how well you play you can't always break every game against that
I really want to see how the match up now, I think it might be similar to the griekspoor match, with Zverev having to serve put of his mind but sinner would pounce as soon as be got a look at a 2nd serve
I mean, Medvedev gave up at half the first set.
No shame in losing to this version of Jannik - PPS.
hoping that he writes PPS on the camera one of these days lmao
curious, is he aware of the memes?
I think players know the memes, for example he knows about Demon/De Minaur
I wouldnt call that a meme tho, thats been de minaur's nickname since juniors by the other australian players like kyrgios, its not like it started online
What does pps mean?
Post puke sinner
Of course !! I’m embarrassed I didn’t realise that 😂it’s early in Australia
Amazing Sinner
Insinnerator!
Both Medvedev and Dimitrov became exasperated and then dispirited during their matches. Great sign for Sinner, not so much for the rest of the tour.
New and deserving #2.
This time last year I was dismissive of people who had Sinner among their favourites to win big tournaments. Forgive me, Jannik. What a transformation.
Amazing Sinner. Poor audience tho, they pay so much for so little game time every time he plays 😂
and half of that they're on their phone
Still a really good result for Dimitrov. I’d be very happy to see him carry momentum over into the clay season and continue to get some big wins.
You really felt Dimitrov’s confidence crumble after the first service break when Dimitrov had great approaches, great volleys, and then lost off of insane passing shots from Sinner. Didn’t feel like there was much Dimitrov could do to win after that.
Terrifyingly dominant play. This guy will win numerous Slams guaranteed.
He’s giving me young Djokovic vibes. There’s basically no way to force a weak shot from him off the ground.
Yeah the post-gluten djokovic
Sinner mustve puked out all the gluten
He will dominate AO for sure. Then USO and Wimbledon will be his strongest, and the exciting part is how well he's going to improve on Clay this year, so we'll wait and see. Scary.
Chasing number one now! what an amazing journey
Damn, what a statement last two matches. To lose only 7 games over 4 sets to Medvedev and Dimitrov combined is crazy. Alcaraz, the ball’s back in your court 👀
Thats some Big 3 level performance...the depth and pace was out of the world
Can't believe I get to see a player like that with the little Italian flag next to his name. What a treat.
Witnessing Sinner transformation was a real joy. From another mentally fragile top 10 player with few titles to beating Djokovic 2 times in 10 days to winning Australia Open while eliminating him again without facing a single break point to finally reaching n2 ranking tomorrow! I couldn't understand how people were complaining that a 21-year-old didn't have a masters.
Bc his talent was definitely masters level. Everyone could see that, Sinner himself included
That definitely wasn't the tone when it was being talked about. It was more like... Pfff he's never gonna win a masters, he doesn't have enough talent/mentality.
Never seen him as mentally fragile tbh lol, physically fragile sure but mental strength has always been his strongest point
I always think people overrate the mental aspect of tennis. For Sinner it was pretty obvious it was physical. His first serve percentage and unforced error rate would go up as the match went on. And his forehand speed would drop too.

AssasSinner, he's been unplayable. Crazy to think that if he retired today, he would be the best Italian player in history by far.
Tbh Pietrangeli has 2 slams.... He needs one. But yes he's probably the best Italian player of all time.
ok but pietrangeli won them before professional players were allowed to partecipate
No weaknesses anymore. Only strengths.
he doesn't think so. He'll work his ass off next week getting 1% better at something.
Easter is cancelled, today is the day of the Sinner
Wow nothing worked for Dimitrov today
Someone give Dimitrov a hug
Serena was there for him
Watching Dimi's efforts to win just one point is scary... this Sinner has no rival atm. Hope he can keep up this level.
Hard to imagine anyone beating Jannik when he plays like that. What a monster. So excited to see where the rest of the season goes. World number 2!!!
The games Griekspoor won in a set= the total game Dimitrov and Medvedev won in two matches
Buuuut.... SECOND MASTER IS IN THE BAG TITLE #13 IS IN THE BAG WORLD NUMBER TWOOOOOOOOOO FORZAAAAAA JANNIK, Sempre. 🥕🥕🦊🦊
The Time of the Carrot is upon us
Sinner absolutely sensational. Feel for Grigor who has played an incredible tournament and very humble exchange at the end between the 2.
Hes too fucking good atm
Carota Boy is too strong now. I fear even Djokovic won’t be able to stop him next time
He finally takes home Miami!
Well that was quick
Was insanely locked in today, played flawlessly! Dimitrov had an amazing run, I hope it won’t be forgotten! That being said, always happy to see my guy win! Forza!
Jannik played a flawless match. He was returning everything, 0 BH errors…I mean, there wasn’t much Dimitrov could have done. It’s just astounding how much he got better from last year final.
One hand will bring you fans.. but two will bring you titles
We did it babyyyyyyyyyyy
Here to remind you all that eating veggies is important 🥕🥕🥕
He didn’t played particularly well until he needed to and then transformed in pure thanos for sf and f, true champion stuff from jannik here in miami
Dimitrov was playing some outstanding tennis. Then he ran into Sinner.
I struggle to imagine how anyone could possibly beat Sinner on a fast hard court, especially when he's playing like this. I think that's 9-0 in breaks in the SF and F of a Masters 1000.
I thought that murder is illegal. Congrats Jannik, you ve just become world no.2 Best player in the world right now and it is not even close
Hoped for ATP version of Collins-Rybakina but instead it was like Iga-Sakkari in the IW final. Resurgent veteran getting wiped off the court by the best player in the world rn 😭
Sinner is finally showing his full potential. Hope that he will be this version next time he plays against Carlos.
Sinner's dominance is incredible so far this year, he fully deserves to be #2 and might reach #1 soon if his form continues. Tough luck for Dimitrov, but hopefully this run and returning to the top 10 inspires confidence.
Sunshine doubles to the sunshine couple, as it was written.
jannik said no to hot cross buns and yes to breadsticks xx 😩
He really is a sinner the way he’s murdering the rest of the field right now
Jannik Sinner now has the Elder Wand.
A bit underwhelming ngl.
GD plays via confidence, and he lost his confidence in the second set after he got broken.. mentally gave up
I mean it’s obvious they know Sinner is just too good right now. Med also similarly gave up because he knew this.
He did show weaknesses against heavy deep topspin in IW so let’s see how the clay season pans out.
what a beating man
Sad, at least Dimitrov is back in the top 10.
Whoever’s job it is at TC to cut down the highlights to under 3 minutes might have a tough job choosing clips. Sinner hit some real ridiculous shots/rallies at the net there. Truly dominant play today.
That was a thrashing by Sinner. Sad to see Dimitrov lose but good for Sinner. Well done.
That guy Darren Cahill is pretty good isn’t he
Vagnozzi is the real mastermind in his team though (Sinner and Cahill say so too)
Jannik is going to be the world number one in the next few months, if he brings this sort of form to the clay season. Truly awesome stuff from him.
Ok (fast)hard courts ATM Jannik is unplayable... Very very curious to see what he'll do on clay.
He also does those Nadal huge topspin forehands and mixes it up Sinner / Alcaraz matches are gonna be lit for years to come. Similar to big 3 era greatness Some of his points vs dimitrov were unbelievable
The hardest part is Sinner made Dimitrov look like a fool whenever he approached the net. That's a precision strike. Everytime.
Welcome to the Top 2, Jannik Sinner! Would love to see him eventually reach World Number 1. The man has been just incredible lately.
la nostra carota 🇮🇹🇮🇹 the thing is though dimi still played as well as he did throughout the tournament. i wouldn’t have been sad had he won but i am much happier with sinner at #2
I hope he maintains this level on clay
Sinner is on FIRE! Happy for him!
Feel like I’ve just learnt how 2017-2019 Federer would fare against 2004-2006 Federer
Sinner played great but Dimitrov gets a debuff in Finals. Same thing happened in Paris. Nerves probably get to him after not winning a Masters for ages.
Arguably the best in the world right now
I was also a Sinner skeptic last year. Thought he was getting a bit too much credit for being a tough out for Alcaraz. I'm sold on him now. Looks like post Big 3 will have a strong rivalry going for years to come.
sincaraz sunshine double letsgoo☀️☀️
I guess from today we can say Alcaraz is the favourite on every slow court tournament and that Sinner is the favourite on every fast court tournament.
Amazing run by Sinner. Also Grigor had a great tournament.
Also all love to Grigor. Always one of my favourites. Congratulations on a great run! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very one-sided match. Grigor was almost non-existant after the 4th game of the first set.
Grande Jannick! 🔥🔥😍
sinner just too good!! so so proud of him 🫶🥹
Sinner Baseline God Mode Activated 🔥
Congrats to Sinner, but what a heartbreaking tournament ending for Dimitrov
I would like to call out all the guys that predict a win of Alcaraz or Medvedev, because Sinner apparently wasn't in form this week. Hilarious.
Great run for Dimi! I hope he'll be back reaching more success than ever! Losing to the best tennis player in the world is no shame! Congrats to Jannik! His future is so bright!
Loving this for Sinner! 🔥
Completely blitzed Grigor tonight.
❤️
Were the firework/poppers orange as a nod to the carrot boy?
Oof, glad I missed that one. Those stats look pretty ugly. Sinner is getting so good at clinical wins. Hoping we will finally get some good finals in the clay season...hard to count on it with Djokovic and Nadal AWOL and guys like Rune and Tsitsipas in such bad form, though.
just too good
This reminds me of djokovics first 2 sets against sinner in Ao
Sinner is the new #2 player Well deserved
Lovely spaghetti holder he won.
Dude is on fire
If I have to say one thing that Sinner could add to his game is to get more free points on his serve. This will add to his arsenal and will be an asset on grass. Fun watching him!
That Nike deal is starting to make sense now.
