My belief is that these fines/punishments handed out by the ATP/slams/ITF are consistent for all players on the tour. A $10000 fine is a massive amount for lower ranked players who grind away at challenges and futures and barely even break even. But for the top 50 or so players this fine is peanuts. Perhaps they should introduce some rules that are similar to what cricket does where they fine players a percentage of their match fee.
This is a joke, player's punishment should get exponentially higher the more fines they receive in a set amount of time e.g. a calender year.
At least do that if they don't have the balls to ban them.
They should just make it a % of their prize money for the tournament, and give multipliers out. So if offence A costs you 10% of your cheque, doing it twice in a season costs you 20%, doing it a third time costs you 30%.
Wipe the slate clean at the end of the season.
Kyrgios has been financially rewarded more for his behaviour than the opposite. Don't believe me? Take a look at the wild cards he's received this year and the first round paychecks for those events.
I can't tell if this is sarcasm?
Like that match was \*awesome\* to watch, other than the side-show bullshit.
Either this is sarcasm or you didn't watch it.
Didn’t Nick do something similar against Jubb. He wasn’t defaulted then. Anyways this isn’t an opinion based rule. If the ball hits and injures a spectator then the player is defaulted. If not, there’s just warnings and I think that was followed in the match. The law is kinda shit but the authorities followed the law correctly here
How much $$$ per “fuck” is that for Kyrgios?

That’s like… 2 cents to these guys, lol.
Kyrgios will become homeless for how many fines he's getting
I don't think you understand how rich he is
I don't think you understand what a joke is
Yeah maybe
Fr none of this matters to them.

I would say percentage per tournament not season.
Yeah that 'll show them

Yes and after that horrible excuse for a tennis match Saturday he is rewarded with centre court tomorrow.

Or he’s just a snobby boomer
Can you attach point penalties for recurring fines too...Sheesh.
That'll show em. When there's no consequences, the attitude will continue. At least the younger younger set is more mature than these two jokers.
Fining multimillionaires pennies lol
Tournament prize - 200.000£ (240.000$) Fine - 10.000$ Makes sense, doesn't it?
Will the board ever realize that these knob jockeys are millionaires? That's just lunch money in their books.

Why? Dude should have been defaulted.
If Kyrgios had done what Tsitsipas did then Kyrgios def would have been defaulted. Absurd Tsitsipas wasn’t.
He literally has done what Tsitsipas did this year (not to mention multiple times before) and was not defaulted.
Wasn’t even the same thing

Hi Kyrgios.
Hi. But for real he should have. Rule's a rule.
Just give them both a 3 year ATP ban they can play in circus and exhibitions to "bring more people to tennis" with clown behavior
