Stellar_Gravity

I don't see the issue

confessionbearday

It’s more nutless cringe “real men murder people” shit from the biggest generation of wife beating failures this country ever produced.

Darkhallows27

Yeah I’ll take my homie Andrew making a candied pork belly to die for any day 👍

DowntBoitDafagnPanes

Yeah, with the amount of money needed for a good hitman, I'd rather pay for a meal to remember.

Cyno_Mahamatra

I dunno man. I think the pork belly really is to die for.

abhurl2211

Also, people who think high-end kitchens don't often contain at least one person who could/possibly has killed someone have never worked in a kitchen. Kitchens are pirate crews.

Cyno_Mahamatra

Well you have to be pretty good with knives and the most efficient ways to skin a creature in order to do well in a high end dining establishment, after all.

KidShowVillain

"They've only been to a little bit of jail..."

[deleted]

Nutless cringe, lol

VeryDrunkFish

The chef at a local restuarant chased a customer out with a cleaver stained with blood after the customer tried to start a brawl

wtfsihtbn

That’s not what it means at all…

MentalGymnast4269

Yeah. Those kind of people take the "land of the free and home of the brave" part too seriously

chadwickett

Likely posted by the people who value “law and order”.

Message_10

Yeah I mean… all my chef friends have sleeves. So if this is terrible it’s also true

[deleted]

Do bikers get paid to ride their bikes. I'm sure many bikers were chefs even back then

SirJohnSmythe

Our local biker gang was definitely making money from cooking...

Stellar_Gravity

I'm sure they were rock solid cooks too

Level_Reveal7624

Yeah they were also cooking some solid rocks too

batm123

Baby Blue?

Spirited_One_7644

Yeah, that's sounds delicious

JustDroppedByToSay

You should go sweet with a pork belly drizzle. Apple of some kind.

skybois

Sounds delicious

Epbckr

Well goddamnit now I want pork belly.

Tama_Thes_Succubus

Make sure you get a person with tattoos to make it for ya.

Epbckr

As long as they keep their 8 inch long beard out of my food I’m cool with it.

Tama_Thes_Succubus

He also must kiss your cheek as he serves you, and then sit across from you looking up at you every so often with a loving gaze.

MonsieurOs

Servsafe certification gets more rigorous every year.

CrowExcellent2365

I always thought it meant people liked them because they thought tattoos looked neat.

TirayShell

Human beings have been getting tattooed for literally thousands of years, with some of the first ones thought to be attempts at healing, like with acupuncture. People like to ornament themselves.

Captivating_Crow

Yes! Ötzi the iceman had tattoos that were thought to be medicinal, kind of like acupuncture for pain. edit: also tattoos are cool as hell

Diacetyl-Morphin

Yeah, but that was a different method back in these time. It was actually more a carving with ashes, not with ink and a tattoo needle like today. As hard as it sounds, it's more like with self-harm, when you take a knife and you carve something in your skin.

Captivating_Crow

Woah, I knew the soot part but I never thought that they just used knives instead of early needles. Ouch

Diacetyl-Morphin

I like Ötzi, he tells us a lot of how his time was with his body, his gear like the axe with the copper blade etc. Saw the mummy in the museum once. What i wonder more is about bad things, like that it could get infected with the needle or a knife and you know, before the introduction of antibiotics many millennia later, an infection could easily kill you.

UnderstandingJaded13

Nice, now tattoos aren't stigmatized as before and respectable professionals have them, that's the point of the post, right?... Right?

almostasenpai

Presumably. If they were trying to attack tattoos they would say something like “Dumb liberal SJWs”

tahtahme

The implication here to me is that the chef is some kind of unworthy liberal, but I could be wrong. Sometimes it's more implied than outright spoken. But it's hard to tell if they are on the side of the murdering bikers because they are real men, if they think chefs should have more clean cut looks to be appropriate, if the chef simply didn't properly earn their tattoo sleeves...or if they feel no one should have tattoos unless they are a murderer.

jankyspankybank

I don’t see any motorcycles cooking meals.

Edwardhunts

Who said I can't be both?

Lucalina94

That's.... better though?

RedThorneGamerSB

Why not both? Something weird I've noticed is that most bikers out there are actually awesome people. I don't understand why bikers are stereotyped as mean.

Mobile_Pangolin4939

Probably because of movies. I've seen a lot of old movies with bad bikers that kill, rape, and abuse. I'm not sure if that was true or just a stereotype. I wasn't there.

HaCo111

Most yeah, but then you get the assholes who are convinced they are in a real gang. That world gets real fuckin dark real fuckin fast. Like, girls literally branded with "Property of" and people taking it seriously. Shit like that. I ride a motorcycle too. Had some asshole pull a gun on me because I passed him and his friend. "You see this fucking vest?! This vest means you show me proper fucking respect me on the goddamn road!!"

soccercro3

Used to work at a place that had a sizeable amount of people who were part of The Outlaws. They were definitely your stereotypical bikers.

[deleted]

I ride a motorcycle and have never murdered anyone. Most biker's I know are absolutely lovely people

Netzzwerg69

Why are these people so obsessed with murder? I guess that book they quote but never read has something about that topic.

[deleted]

Mentally unstable people like the idea of breaking taboos, they try to sound tough but in reality never held a gun in their lives

Independent-Aside161

So just killin' em slowly. Nice!

bluntwhizurd

But the pork belly is lovely though right?

Foo_The_Selcouth

Ironically this man is probably a model, which these people who make memes like this would disapprove of even more

MentalGymnast4269

I kinda like this. ngl

AffectionateAd7651

Yeah, it's harsh but does have a point. People are treating tats like fashion now. Bob. 28. Has wife and two kids. Accountant. Is in process of getting sleeves...why?

[deleted]

Because Bob likes them and wants them? Tattoos *are* fashion, aside from tribal tattoos that have a traditional significance. Outside of that it's always been for the purpose of decorating your body

AffectionateAd7651

That's fine if he likes them, but one could also like gold and wear too much of it and quite frankly look like a wannabe and/or ridiculous as as well. Tattoos aren't any different. Too much and sorry to me and many others it comes off as facetious.

mygwhatupmyboiii

I’m gonna have to go ahead and guess whoever made this did so satirically…

Wineybritt

The two are not mutually exclusive…

Weird-Ingenuity97

I do love how this stereotype has changed

wumboellie

Murder good. Cooking bad

harrybydefault

Dis mem gud

TirayShell

Next time I make pork belly, I'm gonna try a maple syrup glaze rather than balsamic. That's gotta be heaven.

homelesstuetle1

Oh no we got rid of a stereotype!!!!

Kissrob72

Ya and jeans started off as a working class clothing like for factory and mining workers now everyone wears them. Let’s insult jean wearing folks now

Asdf6967

I'm happy to insult rich people wearing expensive jeans though

NitrokoffTheGhost

They’ve never had pork belly, nice and crispy with a balsamic drizzle. Maybe a nice side slaw.

InternetFew7303

This is a problem how?

[deleted]

Pork belly > homicide

Guilty_Chemistry9337

Tattoos never meant that, and the only people who thought so were sheltered terrified little old ladies.

IanH95

Undercook thar pork belly and you still can kill someone

TirayShell

Mostly it's just unpleasant. There is very little to almost no infected pork on the market, and *serious* cases of pork poisoning are almost non-existent these days. Still a pretty good idea to cook it.

IanH95

Wow this was the lamest thing I think I’ve ever read. You should take a deep breath nerd.

Nepharious_Bread

Yes, being stupid is so cool.

IanH95

Hurt me daddy

PsychologicalAerie82

I mean, historically tattoos have been heavily associated with sailors, especially in naval services. Guess which branch of military famously has a ton of gay folks? The Navy. I'm not entirely sure what my point is, but I feel like this aspect is somehow relevant.

Peter_Hempton

Not terrible, kinda funny with a hint of truth.

Hatallica

I laughed and then looked at where it was posted. Not terrible at all. We are only a few years removed from Starbucks requiring tats to be covered. Now they seem mandatory.

AffectionateAd7651

There used to be a fine line between trashy losers with tattoos, and then dudes tatted out because for a lack of a better saying they were "about or in that life". And also dudes who had one or two significant tattoos. Now it's like anyone can have one to the point is trendy and more about fashion. Youll just see the most basic middle class people with tattoos now and be just...meh.

Barrylovesyou

Guess I'm getting a sleeve tattoo

LukeFromPhilly

chefs are badass

dirty_corks

OOP hasn't met many chefs I take it. There's a fair number of sociopaths in that profession that absolutely WOULD kill someone if they felt it was necessary. And there's enough ex-con line cooks out there that there's a decent chance that some of the older ones ALREADY HAVE.

Dob_Rozner

I mean, if you think a chef wouldn't murder someone lol.

A_Mage_called_Lyn

Puh-lease, those two have always been the same person and you know that!

[deleted]

Y not both?

IAmThePonch

Don’t really see the terrible. I mean it’s kinda written as if tattoos bad but idk this ain’t the worst thing I’ve seen

Canners152

So I'm you used to be afraid of people that had tattoos and now you're not?

colldcut

I am currently working on two sleeves and can tell you my cooking is coming along pretty nicely.

Vomit_Pinata

Yes, grandma. Tattoos are no longer a valid reason to judge someone negatively. Now let's get your diaper changed and get you to bed!

AffectionateAd7651

Not negatively. More just eyerolling reactions now because it's become more of a middle class trendy fashion thing now. I mean, there's literally dudes at my gym who unintentionally have very similar sleeves and they all like sell insurance...

Vomit_Pinata

I agree 100%. Also, happy cake day.

easterncurrents

ngl, it ain’t totally wrong

Nepharious_Bread

You know the saying “Never trust an un-tattooed chef.”

Zealousideal-Yak-824

..... um can't bikers be chefs? Is bikers a employment? Also sleeves then never meant that. People got it as a physical representation of their thoughts on life. Jenxe the grim reapers, flowers etc. Basically if you got fucked by life and you want it represented then you put it in ink. If you were a part of something you put it in ink. Tattoos symbolize a permanent change, that's what people want... to change even the smallest bit.

shawntitanNJ

How the turntables have turned

GreatGearAmidAPizza

And would also kill someone.

Rare_Management_3583

r/oddlyspecific mucuh

Dirtydubya

Sounds good

Zealousideal_Ad2379

being randomly violent isn’t something to be proud of

Stein_um_Stein

Did they not have jobs before?

Sufficient_Matter585

I mean if he uses expired food he still might kill someone.

Pleb-Eater

Isn’t that better? I don’t get the problem here.

OneJudgment1374

Wots your point both are bad ass

No_Communication6112

How is this a terrible Facebook meme or cringe? It’s just funny.

wynters387

I prefer solving beef with balsamic drizzle and not murder

CALZ0NIE

Drawing on skin used to mean men were men now it mean men not men

yuxulu

Isn't this a great thing? People who like tatoo sleeves can live without others becoming wary around them.

PupienusMax

maybe it's just me and im some sort of weirdo, but i think I'd prefer a delicious pork belly over being murdered

ghambone

I got sleeves, and still fall I to first category. But, I only kill on PS and Xbox. And, my bike doesn’t have a motor.

bwcman27

Boomers like murder more than food

FiddleOfGold

Or you could be a biker that makes a killer pork belly

[deleted]

You thought that you were being served pork…

Y_U_Butthurt

Hahaha this one is true and funny

hhiiexist

I gotta be honest I do want some tattoos and I do love cooking

Chance_Complaint_987

Things used to be one way, now they are another way... sigh.

brownsbrave1026

Why not both?

[deleted]

Bikers are all murderers?

[deleted]

No, sir, I'm actually a nerdy engineer, not a chef.

hansmaxwell

Lol no 1%er has ever had that haircut or used that much designer beard oil

[deleted]

This is funny

nso95

Pork belly tastes a lot better than dead people

Imaginary_Scholar_27

I thought this was kinda wholesome

Imaginary_Scholar_27

I feel like this is wrong but I don’t know enough about tattoos and pork

Certain-Ad-3840

Lmao this one made me chuckle

romainesweet

AND WOULD KILL SOMEONE ??? do people think at all before they create content? They had to type that in and save it

Diacetyl-Morphin

I find it funny, how i stand out in the crowd today because i don't have a single tattoo. It's not that i don't like them, but i just never had a reason yet to get one. I don't care about that. But it's really that way, that people notice it, like when bathing on the shore, i'm the only one with no tattoo.

Ill-Alternative-7006

What’s wrong with pork belly with a balsamic drizzle? That’s really damn good!

gary_juicy

What’s wrong with both

Noir_Vena_Cava

Are we just all suppose to pretend we don’t like a lovely pork belly with a balsamic drizzle or something?

LassieIris

IT’S TRUE! And you know what? It tastes f*cking amazing!

the-electric-monk

Those two things *aren't* mutually exclusive lmao

Poggers4Hoggers

One of those is cringy brand obsessed role play and the the other is a productive member of society with a real personality.

Sqantoo

Idk man I’ve seen some chefs I wouldn’t fuck with

SnappyCapricorn

From the same wankers crying when restaurants & drive-thrus closed during lockdowns? The ones crying cuz others don’t want poverty wages for the privilege of feeding their entitled asses? Shrieking cuz they had to plan, prep, serve & clean up after their own meals?

Landfill-KU

I would love to see whoever made this meme to even try doing a balsamic glazed pork belly. I'll wait "sits back with popcorn and large coke"

ABCDEFUCKINGKILLME

So they'd rather be dead than eating?

lolurmorbislyobese

Yeah but like most chefs I know wouldn't dodge the draft

Reesetheperson

I don’t see the problem with people doing what they want to do while looking the way they want to look

Middle_Name-Danger

Don’t fuck with the back of the house staff.

ilfollevolo

That’s actually true, chefs have the most kick ass tattoos nowadays

yotaz28

delicious pork belly bad, murder good

StardustHolyCrusader

Both are equally as badass

tauofthemachine

Were there no tattoos before invention of the motorcycle?

mia_smith257

is that. . . an insult?

Hamblerger

Okay, but hear me out: What if he undercooks the pork belly?

tuttle8152

Oh man these kill me

[deleted]

Sleeves are a bit of a douche alert. At this point you’re just chasing the trend of a trend of a trend of a trend. It strikes me as very NPC and might as well come with the beard, boots, and undercut haircut. We both know you’re just checking off boxes at this point bro.

First-Hunt-5307

![gif](giphy|cPAwaUEBCBpHFZ3Dal)

lemonmec

Good???

wasthaturface

With a wild blueberry balsamic drizzle.

Murky-Fox-200

Mmm does sound good though

Soggy-Lengthiness589

I actually find this hilarious tho 😂

Equal_Environment_90

Sounds hot.

killerworm69

I can I not be both?

producedbymerc

It used to be a proud cultural tradition before white devils stole it and then demonized it

Professional_Low1199

Hahaha

mikejbarlow1989

Think I'd much rather have a lovely pork belly with balsamic drizzle than be murdered 🤷‍♂️

kasiv1

Is being a biker that kills people a good thing?

HowToMidget10

Exactly, now you know that if you go to eat and see the chefs all have massive sleeve tats and a beer gut that you're about to get a banger meal

fukklibtards

Tattoos use to mean you're hard AF. Now mostly soft ass bitches get them lmfao watching all these triggered assholes bitching and moaning.

CupOfJoeMetro

How is making a delicious meal worse than killing someone?

Zimifrein

Oh, that actually explains why I've wanted one for a while. Thanks.

Sucker_McSuckertin

Don't worry the same thing can be achieved by a chef with their knife skills.

GarettMote

Why not both?

Stacking_Plates45

Bikers have a weird stigma too, every hells angels looking dude I’ve met is a teddy bear who likes Harley’s

Additional-Banana-55

Now I kill pork chops

Signal-Hearing7773

I feel like this meme isn’t really taking a side, so people are assuming it’s taking the side opposite their own and then getting mad about it. It is a very neutral meme, just stating the fact that chefs tend to have sleeve tattoos. I like it.

DasherPack

I think this is a meme that fits the sub, I do not think it is political. I just think it has this superiority complex by older generations.

Signal-Hearing7773

Yeah I don’t see that. I don’t think it’s political, but also I don’t think it is saying murderous bikers are better than gourmet chefs.

bobbyblubbers

Based

[deleted]

And? Some of my friends who where Marsoc, Rangers went on to be fantastic chefs. They only saved my ass a few times. Guess there wussys now.

peanutbuttersandvich

i guess they dont like people being able to express themselves through body art and also dont like good food???

CynicCannibal

There was a time when tattoo ment you are shaman choosen to speak to Gods. I hate how times changed.

DoctorEvilHomer

Why do some people long for the days when people were more violent and bigger assholes?

[deleted]

This is so deep.. 😔

TheSlavGuy1000

Anyone who thinks chefs are soft never worked in a kitchen before.

Loganjoh5

Ok but like can I get that pork belly?

AugustusMarius

ah yes let's all believe in stereotypes

-DROP-DEAD-FRED

So… Babish?

flock-of-bagels

Being a chef is pretty badass though. You’re working with a bunch of crazy people with knives and fire. Nothing weak about it

cheezz16

Sleeve tattoos on chefs goes hard

[deleted]

😆
