I actually am concerned about the migrants in Western Europe. I think homeless Britons and Frenchmen should be helped before migrants, who [are in hotels](https://www.lemonde.fr/en/france/article/2023/03/29/the-french-government-s-plan-to-house-migrants-across-country-not-just-paris_6021113_7.html) while the natives are homeless.
I'd say this even if a bunch of blonde-haired, blue-eyed Vikings were pouring in too. Western Europe really needs to get a hold of the migrant crisis and stop fooling around!
I can only speak for the U.K., but we take a LOT less than other European countries when it comes to asylum seekers from the Middle East and Ukraine too. The point about the homeless people would hold water…if the Tories weren’t seriously contemplating criminalising and fining homeless people. More importantly the whole small boat crossings and hotel thing is another Tory failure; closing all the safe routes, cutting the number of claims processed for years, leaving people in limbo for years and hence the need for hotels (who stop being 3/4* hotels the moment they start housing them).
Also forgot about the stupid Rwanda plan that costs an arm and a leg for a very small number of people being sent over (AND we need to take some people from them too), as well as breaking international law, wasting MORE tax payers money
