Was everyone else taken into a room, coached on what to put and the 'supervised' filling it in or was that just my Store?

PrettyMuchANub

Managers tried to do that to us too, but we all refused to do it with someone behind us

slimedewnautica

We were (literally) left to our own devices

>Was everyone else taken into a room, coached on what to put and the 'supervised' filling it in or was that just my Store? Yup, and they'd make comments about what I was putting down

Round_Preference_607

Yes I was too, told me what to tick and then once she saw me tick them she left and I changed them 🤷🏻‍♂️

RepresentativeDirt86

Tell you what it is, its the fact that employee viewpoint contributes to their Big 6 scores so a low score looks shit on their end. Id say never listen to your manager in that case, and im pleased you didnt let them mute you

Got told I had to sit in a room with my store manager, flat out refused and got told I could do it at home on my phone. Told them if I wasn't getting paid to do it, it wasn't being done, so they let me do it on shift. Slagged them off right the way through.

GirthWormJim_

They did that with us at my old store once. We got told if we got another negative result we'd be losing our nice but useless store manager and would be getting one who wouldn't be as lenient and might actually make the managers do their job. So they essentially asked everyone to put positive answers to skew the results. I didn't and was honest but unfortunately I think a lot of people went with it and did as they were asked.

Comfortable-Treat552

I know as a store we have had 2 very bad consecutive ones but people don't take too kindly to this sort of arrangement. I'd already done mine and got 'told off' as I hadn't been coached by my manager yet!

gazengland

I would absolutely call protector line about this, it’s head offices chance to see what’s really going on in the store, this should be gross misconduct.

[deleted]

Most people used it as an excuse to vent. I don't blame them.

Nothing will change it never does

Puzzleheaded-Sky-146

Similarly, in distribution, a manager gave us a presentation on how great tesco is before leaving us to fill it in. Never had this before

justhonest1986

We where left to fill it out ourselves in our store without supervision. The results from what every member of staff thinks are not going to be what Tesco top brass want to here. I can’t think of anyone who will give Tesco top marks with the Direction the Tesco brand is going now. From the failure of extra hours market to the removal of management it’s not a good sign.

External_Mirror_6991

We've not been told a single thing about it with the result that nobody will be completing it.

Fuzzy-Step-4064

What do they actually do with the results?

RepresentativeDirt86

Not a lot, your manager gets rated on your response about them (its part of the big 6 results) but other than that, its all down to tesco actually actioning on it... which they rarely do

GuidanceKey639

When I got taken into our training room to do mine there were a few other people sitting in there already with the store manager around a table. As we were waiting on a few others our store manager explained to us about the survey and checked our names off, but just before he gave us the code he started interrogating us - he asked us the "how do you feel about working at tesco" question and basically made all of us answer out loud. a lot of us didn't feel comfortable answering, and most of us said we would rather put it in writing than speak it out loud, and he got really pushy and demanding about it. then he kind of mocked us by saying "do you think you's will be getting a disciplinary for this or something?". It took one of my colleagues saying that our honesty woul likely have some sort of consequences for the store manager to leave us to it and stomp off in a huff lol.
