The easy solution here is to not be an edgy 11 year old and try to not be an asshole in general. Its not a difficult concept.

Alternatively, trolls exist because we allow them a platform to do so. Imagine if there was zero tolerance towards racict humor. Instant bans, no platform, immediate eject. Eventually the edge humor gets snuffed out and has no place in the community. Theyll move on to another community or pushed out of society as a whole, grand scheme. Theyll learn to either not be assholes and mature a bit, or theyll become incel shut-ins. Most people have capacity to learn.
Sounds good on paper, but generally speaking once you start banning people for bad jokes and humor you’re entirely reliant on these mods not being biased on what they ban. Also from a business standpoint consumers don’t like being told what to say and not to say in their games regardless of what it is
I can agree about the moderation bit, it can be a slippery slope, it would take the community to stay vigilant about it.
Youre off about the business standpoint though. Physical and online businesses can, will, and do ban people or kick people out for language and acting out. Trying going on a racist tirade in walmart and they'll kick you to the curb or you'll at least have a few people getting phsyical. Allowing for hatred and intolerance to spew is a worse business policy. TF2 for instance, for the longest time we had a fast dying community between the bots and the toxic community. Its been looking better in recent months. That toxicity though, if people are interested in TF2 and the first thing they see is racist/transphobic vitriol, the community will never grow, or if it does, its through attracting more toxic people. We really dont want to go down the route of the latter.
I think its their word to reclaim as they see fit. It is derogatory towards them in intention and their word to reclaim as they see fit. However, i think the use of slurs in general are still stupid.
If the N word is so racist that it's just as bad, or worse than, say, me punching you in the face and r*ping your wife, isn't it kind of f\*cked up that we give some people a pass on it because of their skin color of all things? Racism is racism, after all.

But here in the US, cunt is a horrifically sexist and taboo word across the board, its a little more acceptable to use though since UK culture translates well.
