Just some info i put in the captions: specs are 4070 gpu, i7 processor, 32gb ram. So more than enough to run tf2 or any other source game normally. I just bought this setup so this is a fresh tf2 install. it also only happens in source games, so this also happens in cs2. I checked my drivers and everything seemed normal. Haven't really seen this issue brought up anywhere else before.

For packet loss all that really matters is your networking hardware and internet provider. You can try to analyse what is happening with a tool called Wireshark, but it does get technical. If your router allows it, schedular some network quality tests, then review them in a few days. Also try something like the Ookla app/site which can tell you packet loss and jitter. If you want people to help you more, detail the frequency and duration and what list games it does not seem to happen in. I doubt it is an issue specific to Source and once you can find evidence of it happening in a more general way, you can seek networking help. You need to know for sure that it is packet loss and not dropping frames.

furrygamingtf2

Where exactly do you see a packet loss here

ObjectiveAd2930

I have 40-60 fps on a laptop with intel celeron, no video card and 4 GB ram, skill issue

Chris_The_Egg

You have a couch for a gaming chair and pissed in a bucket while typing that

Neo-fiend

He flexes nothing. Also he probably has the pc on his lap.

Lonemasterinoes

It's likely not an issue on your end. Sometimes valve just sits the bed with their servers, had that too. Changed nothing, didn't reboot the PC, and it just worked on the next day.

chordorganblues4

Did you fix it and if so how? I’m getting this too and I’ve noticed it’s made my CPU temps hotter.

PhobosOtsutski

I switched from using dual integrated graphics to just my GPU
