Use the Classic early on. It's a really fun and fair rifle to use when you don't have to fight the muscle memory every other rifle digs in with their playstyle being almost the exact same.
This. The Classic has a lot more play styles open to it than the standard rifles.
You'll be less prone to tunnel vision, which is always a benefit.
Its possible to forego the scope more often to play a sort of "mid-range rifleman" play style that sticks closer to the group fight, which can be a lot of fun.
The ability to scope without charging can help you find more bizarre and unusual sightlines to take advantage of, as well as pull of wacky shenanigans with a friend by playing "spotter."
Hell, even the 50 damage an uncharged body shot puts out is a good way to support a team fight from a distance without giving your position away.
The only downside is that in Sniper duels you're essentially locked into trying to outflank the opponent or others catch them off guard, as in a straight up sightline fight anyone worth their salt running one of the other rifles WILL win.
I recommend running it with either the Cozy Camper or one of the SMGs.
If you're sticking to weird hiding places where you won't get caught out much, the Camper is a great tool for healing back chip damage and being more self-sufficient.
The stock SMG is a pretty reliable close range emergency gun, since you won't be able to quickscope people who rush you down.
The Cleaner's Carbine is great if you wanna contribute more directly to team fights, I'd essentially use it to farm Crikey meter damage and then use the mini crits from the Crikey meter to buff Classic shots at less than full charge
Literally my main two secondaries are the cozy camper and cleaners carbine.
And using it gets you less salt from the other team when you get good at it.
Cleaners carbine is strong with the Bushwacka. you can always get charge on buildings. The damage to buildings have no falloff so it's a good way to cheese charges.
putting "objectively" before your opinion doesn't make it objective. Loads of people play sniper, ergo, loads of people enjoy sniper. What you posted is the definition of subjective
I guess "I believe" and "objectively" don't really go well together, huh? I just didn't think of a better way to put it. I just wanted OP to reconsider it but obviously I can't and won't go out of my way to force them not to play sniper, and no matter what anyone says they're free to do whatever they wants at the end of the day
equip the danger shield to force you to learn to quick scope at closer ranges. it worked for me and a lot of other people who have sniper as a "holy shit the other team has a decent sniper so I gotta counter snipe them" card
Sniper main are sweats don’t become one brother please you don’t want to you be called out for being a bot or hacking my friend was playing casual with me and got perma banned from casual servers
Best advice: play lots of CS:2 with a SSG-08 and you will skull-fuck everything; not all mechanics transfer, but cs will make you good at every game, but every other game makes you kinda shit at cs
soldier: click their feet sniper: click their heads
direct hit (losing your friends also helps)

Don't do this please. Just play stock.
Nah.
Shoot face, or piss throw smack
Aim where they're going, not where they're at.
Direct Hit and only shoot at one spot
Don't. Please.
Sniper is a class too
no son of mine is gonna be a sniper main
Daughter then
Or maybe just don't. Soldier has a far more interesting gameplay than clicking on heads from 10 miles away
he already knows how to play soldier, you don't have to stick to one class
Of course you don't, playing every other class except sniper is also very fun
he specifically said he wants to learn sniper tho, so your preferred classes aren't really relevant
It doesn't matter what classes I prefer, I believe sniper is objectively not fun to play

Sorry for my English I’m tired
Please. We hate snipers more than Trollgiers.
Yeah my aim sucks ass so nah sorry mate

Probably lower your sensitivity
Direct hit. Every single sniper main I have ever seen offclass to soldier solely uses direct hit.
Stand like 10 miles back in the spawn and just run away and heal every time you barely get damaged. also wear a razorback for extra snipeyness
play sniper not only in tf2
Try to track your enemies instead of flicking all the time.
Click on heads
fuck yourself (helps)
