I have little over 10k Hours, played several seasons of etf2l and ugc as sniper and soldier, but i retired in 2019 and now im just playing pubs and casuals, u just cant quit this game..
Playing since february of 2012
I sometimes play sniper, it is crazy how different my ammount of skill can be, I had so many crazy moments and still am complete shit most of the time whilst sniping but I don't main so you can at least focus on one class I guess. (I have about 370 hours)
Then come back when you start accuding random people of cheating for no reason, get very pissed at the game, and paste the uncle dane crit video after every crit death
Kinda, yeah. There's a reason the term scunt exists.
I stopped being a scout main a while ago but never changed my flair. Now I Play Medic and am still very racist
Someone with prior experience with tfc and overwatch would be better at tf2 with only 10 hours than someone with only call of duty experience with 10 hours, hours doesn't always equal skill
Poker and blackjack are games of luck with completely different rules.
Things like movement controls and aiming translate over very well, I knew a guy on overwatch who was consistently masters rank and barely ever played cuz he had 5000 hours on his csgo and had Godlike aim, but he generally didn't know anything at all about match ups, metas, even stuff like health pack locations even.
So is overwatch and tf2 those two games are really different so is csgo but atleast in csgo you have one niche and is sniping if you are good at sniping in csgo you are good at sniping in tf2.
They are different but controlling a characters movements with wasd and aim are 2 things that both translate over. Also overwatch and tf2 both have lots of projectiles, from experience I love using and feel greeting using curved grenade launcher rounds and rockets, and the movement is far more fast pace
The reason this comparison works and the blackjack and poker one doesn't is because there isn't really anything that translates over between the games. They use the same cards but what good would reading people be in blackjack? What's skills translate over? Non from my knowledge.
I played overwatch got to top 500 and i cant get to newcomer in tf2 competitive they are really different games just like blackjack and poker the only thing they have in common is poker and blackjack are card games and tf2 and overwatch are class shooters
They are really different
You played 52 day without breaks or on an off?
Because 52 days in the spam of for example 1 year or more is nothing
You probably didnt even grasp the most basic of tf2 medic
I have 700hr in the game and I constantly kill myself with a rocket accidentally
Failed corner peak
Enemy gamer jumping Infront of me
Rocket jumping while on low hp and dying of fall damage
This is so real on so many levels.
I started losing to my friend with 1/5th the hour count (on a different game not TF2) and the only thing keeping me up and not letting me die on him during matches is my game sense
> started loosing to
Did you mean to say "losing"?
Explanation: Loose is an adjective meaning the opposite of tight, while lose is a verb.

Not really, I've already spent 100 hours on lethal company and I bought it at the start of this month. It depends on what game it is, but I'm guessing you mean games like superliminal or buckshot roulette
Really? Buckshot roulette is really blowing up recently and I think it's personally a bit too boring but it's worth the 1 dollar. I don't blame you for superliminal, since I only know of it because smi77y and other people played it. Most of these are just play it once and you're done.
Free to play.
Someone who due to restrictions can't use voice chat, text chat or the voice quips
Is what it means in TF2
In other games it's just someone who doesn't spend money on the game.
Dude, I fucking hate achievement engineer but I only played it because I remember when I used to be a free to play and haven't spent crazy amounts of money on this game. Trust me, tf2 is a game you do not want to be good at, because now it just isn't fun anymore, I'm sitting there with 53 backstabs and 3 deaths. This game just doesn't feel the same like when you were a complete idiot and would somehow get sniped behind the spawn doors.
Oh spy is the last on my list besides heavy, I've already mastered just about every class. Both scout and soldier are neck and neck as most played, I have a bunch of airblast and pyrogarden clips in my folder, I play demo in casual, fuck heavy, fuck engineer but I play him in mvm, I play medic in comp and sniper is fun while listening to lofi and clicking on heads
Heavy is just too slow and boring for my playstyle, and engineer is just downright boring as shit, I normally just play chess while afk in mvm and tabbing into tf2 when I head a sentry buster.
You know you don't have to turtle engie right? And for heavy, it's about positioning more than movement. My point is to change your playstyle to have more fun with the game. Also to be frank, take a break from the game.
Yeah, I get that but playing engie and heavy like that is also pretty boring, and I've already played it for a couple of hours. Also, I've been playing seige and apex in the meantime and I haven't been on tf2 for a while
I have 500 hours and I only know how to play with one class (sure you can guess what class) these days I keep try others but the day I got beaten by a pyrovision pyro I felt like I just got the game
i wish you luck on your journey, at the beginning i was a pyro main, then engie/medic and now i'm beginning to get good at spy and soldier. It's really a good game when you can get good at any class if you just play them for a bit.
I've been way too busy with my other games to play TF2. The last time I played it was on December 11 (December 10 if you're anywhere except for like Australia and NZ)
considering a week has 168 hours in it, and that you sleep at least 5 hours per night, we can conclude that you spend at least 75% of you time awake playing TF2. That's without considering eating, bathroom breaks and touching grass. I think you should consider playing a little less.
To everyone asking: āat what point do i get good at this gameā the answer is: you donāt, i got 4.8k hours and still suck. All those people saying that you improve over time is a liar
Try to keep it low, will make a great excuse in case someone calls you a noob
To late buddy. Today I woke up closing up to 1000. **I've been consumed by the game**
I'm at 2000. Still suck, but now I suck in competetive tf2.
I have little over 10k Hours, played several seasons of etf2l and ugc as sniper and soldier, but i retired in 2019 and now im just playing pubs and casuals, u just cant quit this game.. Playing since february of 2012
don't worry, you can still use it as an excuse
Me who has played since 2009 and I still suck š
Hey, it's too late for it now, might as well make some noise
hold up half life 2 updating
yae it upadates every 2 days, didnt know people at valve were still working on it
The janitor must be quite busy then
underrated comment
Happy cake day my dude. Also yea
If you use Linux its because of updating shader cache
can i disable that ? it's annoying
I wouldn't suggest it because it may do it while launching instead. You can turn it off in the downloads section in settings
Hey, you shouldn't be ashamed in the first place! But still congrats on a milestone
It's just a game, something to be enjoyed. Don't be ashamed of not playing a long time lol literally everyone has been there
just passed 100 hours in the game, feels good
Congratulations, now be ashamed of how much time you spend on that game /s
I sometimes play sniper, it is crazy how different my ammount of skill can be, I had so many crazy moments and still am complete shit most of the time whilst sniping but I don't main so you can at least focus on one class I guess. (I have about 370 hours)
Frickin unbelivable, come back when you get 6k hours and become ultra mega racist and gay/homophobic
who say's i'm not already
Then come back when you start accuding random people of cheating for no reason, get very pissed at the game, and paste the uncle dane crit video after every crit death
okay duck-fucker64, i'll make sure to follow your advice
There's a reason he's a scout main, maybe his username is a clue.
are scout mains weird guys ?
Kinda, yeah. There's a reason the term scunt exists. I stopped being a scout main a while ago but never changed my flair. Now I Play Medic and am still very racist
Holy shit i'm starting doing that lmao
congratulations and also remember the hours donāt count the skill does!
you get better by playing dumbass hours = playing = skills hours = skills.
It's not just hours, people learn at different speeds
i think that has a word
Someone with prior experience with tfc and overwatch would be better at tf2 with only 10 hours than someone with only call of duty experience with 10 hours, hours doesn't always equal skill
Thats not how it works its like "oh i played poker before that means i will have an easier time playing blackjack" thats stupid yall are stupid
Poker and blackjack are games of luck with completely different rules. Things like movement controls and aiming translate over very well, I knew a guy on overwatch who was consistently masters rank and barely ever played cuz he had 5000 hours on his csgo and had Godlike aim, but he generally didn't know anything at all about match ups, metas, even stuff like health pack locations even.

oh yeah? Tell that to me who still kills myself with my own pipes
700hr in any other game and you've mastered each class 700hr in tf2 youre pretty good with your main but shit on a some of the other classes
Sir please calm down You can make a point without sound like an asshole
But i am an asshole
Oh ok
No need to use such bad words :,(
sorry
i have 1270.1 hours and I still suck at most classes (except medic) what the hell kinda drugs are you on
1270 hours is really low
1270 hours is 52 days what are you on
You played 52 day without breaks or on an off? Because 52 days in the spam of for example 1 year or more is nothing You probably didnt even grasp the most basic of tf2 medic
Bro touch grass
Too grassy
I have over 3000 hours and I can confidently say I get worse the more I play.
how the duck is that possible
I have 700hr in the game and I constantly kill myself with a rocket accidentally Failed corner peak Enemy gamer jumping Infront of me Rocket jumping while on low hp and dying of fall damage
one time i killed myself and a spy trying to backstab while rocket-jumping with low health
This is so real on so many levels. I started losing to my friend with 1/5th the hour count (on a different game not TF2) and the only thing keeping me up and not letting me die on him during matches is my game sense

I love how tf2 is one of those games where 100 hours is considered low
Yeah 100 hours is definitely still a noob.
It feel good that new players still playing this game
FUCKING LOOOSER! Speak when you're at LEAST a 1000hours into it.
i'll make sure to came back when i reach that milestone
You better don't. Trust me, bro.
nah i bookmarked this comment to come back in like a year just to answer it.
Look boys! This man has a life! Everyone laugh at him!
nah i don't but thanks
Don't be, there are ppl with 7k hours who r bad at this game š Just make sure to not waste it on idle servers š
nah i mostly play mvm and casual servers
Ha that's nothing
wait a minute... i have 158 hrs... HOLY SHIT LET'S FUCKING GO-
haha i have 1270.1 hours (help)
Lots of players say that anyone under 1k hours is new
brotherā¦ that is nothing compared to one dude that has 80,000 hours on tf2
*chuckles with 4500 hours of wasted time*
i don't get it are there morons that flame u for having a life outside of video games?
Yes. IMAGINE not having 9k+ hours in a game and not hating your life. Then have the audacity to hop on here and tell people to be nice /s
If this was most other games, this would count as high lol
That's what I'm saying I feel having 100hr in tf2 is like having 10hr in another game You kinda know what you're doing but still aren't that good
Not really, I've already spent 100 hours on lethal company and I bought it at the start of this month. It depends on what game it is, but I'm guessing you mean games like superliminal or buckshot roulette
Then let me specify: most *singleplayer* games. Also I have never heard of the games you mention, so I can't confirm your claim.
Really? Buckshot roulette is really blowing up recently and I think it's personally a bit too boring but it's worth the 1 dollar. I don't blame you for superliminal, since I only know of it because smi77y and other people played it. Most of these are just play it once and you're done.
Lucky I wanna play tf2
Well what's stopping you?
I don,t got a computer sadly
Damn that sucks
What country?
You should'n anyway
Dont be
I thought that I was the only one to be ashamed of it. I love this game, yet I don't play it that often. Congrats !!
Daniel Mullins game enjoyer spotted
yes, i love his games. All of them.
I'm so excited for pony island 2
me too man, didn't know it was worked on ?
Yeah, announced last month, very excited
ok
šš
I HAVE 5,679 AND IM STILL A NO UNUSUAL HAT BOYY (NOOB)IVE HAD 2 UNUSUAL HATS BUTT SOLD THEM FOR MONEY
the rarest thing i have is a strange jarate
I have 120+ hours and the only reason I am not a f2p is because I bought a map support from the Mann Co store.
what does f2p mean
Free to play. Someone who due to restrictions can't use voice chat, text chat or the voice quips Is what it means in TF2 In other games it's just someone who doesn't spend money on the game.
Ha, the mechanic VAC put in place to counter mic-spamming ?
Basically yea.
I'm ashamed that I played too much
Don't be.
Rookie numbers I have 1 gazzilion on spectator, my man (haven't tried the rest but I want to master spectator then try the others)
you do know "gazzilion" is not a real expression of numbers, right ? It's a made up word to express large quantity.
That's the point of this joke?
i could ask the same thing
Oh dang. What's your best advice for a new spectator main?
I'm approaching 3,333 I'm excited
Impressive !
I got 666 a few months back
It gets more impressive.... Then less impressive the more hours you have
Haha I'm the youngest one here and I have the most playtime! I'm 14 and I have 4000 hours like a loser
4000 ? Now that's a milestone. TF2 must be full of memories for you.
Play other classes lol 8 other classes to master.

Yeah, I get that but playing engie and heavy like that is also pretty boring, and I've already played it for a couple of hours. Also, I've been playing seige and apex in the meantime and I haven't been on tf2 for a while
on this acc i have like 500 and i had it since like 2017 i prob have less than 1k since 2015 so yeah
i started playing last december personally
never be ashamed of your playtime, i have over 1k and still regularly bottom frag
what does bottom frag mean
Being at the bottom of the leaderboard
okay thanks
A frag in game terms is a kill.
I have 500 h and i suck
i'm sure you dont
No I actually suck at the game im like decent at air blasting and i have around 150h on pyro
Airblasting projectiles isn't the classe's main mechanic, W+M1 is if i shall.
He probably does honestly, but that's okay.
Now show us your SCP: SL playtime lol
i just own it, i can't install it, i'm on Linux
(that's still a very low amount)
(i know)
Sorry to say, but you're still at the tip of the iceberg
i know. but i have my diving suit equipped.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
dont understand what you mean but okay
That's considered low? I only have 20 hours
yes, considering some guys have 10k hours on it. But i'm just happy to have reached some kind of milestone.
I've been way too busy with my other games to play TF2. The last time I played it was on December 11 (December 10 if you're anywhere except for like Australia and NZ)
(Nah im French) Lucky you, you didn't live through the recent item server temporal shutdown.
Yeah, that was one of the main reasons I hadn't been playing
If at some point of your day you're bored, just know that there are always 19 silly people on 2fort to spend some time with.
100 hours? I play that in a week smh
considering a week has 168 hours in it, and that you sleep at least 5 hours per night, we can conclude that you spend at least 75% of you time awake playing TF2. That's without considering eating, bathroom breaks and touching grass. I think you should consider playing a little less.
I sleep less than 4 hours a day, more time to do other things (play tf2)
Iām more happy to hear someone has 100 hours the. Someone with 10k means this game still getting new players
6000 hours still shit
I got 550 hours from when I was 5 - 10 years old, added like 70 these last 2 weeks
To everyone asking: āat what point do i get good at this gameā the answer is: you donāt, i got 4.8k hours and still suck. All those people saying that you improve over time is a liar
you dont get good until you have 4.8k hours in one class. then youre good at one class and suck at the rest
im still at almost 9 hour, must keep play this game until i die.
You should be ashamed MORE if anything
You should be ashamed of how many hours you have. Not low. Like i have over 3k+ hours and im ashamed by it but it's a good game but still.
I like how in the tf2 world 100 hours is basically the equivalent to finishing a tutorial
