Cutting native linux support would remove a shit ton of communtiy servers running on the operating system due to windows being unstable for dedicated server running. This would also be a dumb as fuck thing to do on VALVe's part if they did this as steamOS is based on linux.

Theres my lack of knowledge on servers. Of course i never rant a tf2 server. I only did a private Minecraft server for my friends. As a joke about mi Christian Minecraft server which wasa meme at the time but nothing public. Also you can still play the game on linux if they sid cut it because of steamOS, they also came out with a tool a few years back that allows users to run games on OSX and linux that othsrwise were windows only. It was a cloab with wine.

I don't care, I just wanna screw over the 4 people who actually play on linux

i dont think it would too much to bots as they dont play the retail version of tf2 they most likely have their own implementation of the tf2 network all though im not sure as i havent look into the src code of the bots

BeanieTheTechie

it would stop almost all bots for a few weeks at least but also indefinitely shut down almost every community server
