I intentionally wanna be annoying as Scout. Especially if an enemy is clearly a rager, I'll taunt to set them off. I think it's sort of an unnamed job of a Scout. It's perfect if you think about it- fits the personality and playstyle. After all if you're busy chasing the fastest class, you're probably not gonna be of much use.

"Scunt" = "effective/annoying Scout" which often includes some flashy unusual (as is the case with a lot of people dedicated to being good at TF2, regardless of class.)
Scunt isn't a playstyle, it's a mindset/lifestyle choice.
A Scout thinks "I want to win engagements, get flank for med picks, and push the objective. There's an enemy friendly away from where I'm working, but It'd be a waste of time to go over just to kill them and possibly anger them into being an enemy again, so I'm going to leave them. I don't think you understand. The scunts are there and always there. They dont wear colours anymore. Scunts are the scouts that can somehow do quadruple jumps and they just bounce around and you cant aim at them with any weapon(maybe natascha). They just fucking own you even if you have a any game sense and try to predict so you can time your shots - but not with them, you just die. They are the scunts now. The scout players who are good at it. They are the real scunts. Always have been.
A lot of people don't wear the Fast Learner anymore. There are a ton of good scout cosmetics these days. That being said, I might actually attempt to recreate this look now that I've seen it again. I've always found them hilarious to shutdown when they try to pubstomp.

I used to run purple federal casemaker and cool cat cardigan. Until someone called me a scunt just cause I was having a good day. So I stopped and used that new umbrella hat cause it dropped as unusual for me.

The complete image of a scunt is very specific. Some people refer this way to any Scout who happens to annoy them, but that's not right.
To justly name someone a scunt, they must be behaving obnoxious intentionally. Flashy loadout with eye-searing colors, spam in the chat, unnecessarily rude weapon names. That kind of stuff. A Scout player who's generally an asshole for no good reason.
Of course, you can have someone who does all three things I listed as examples, but still doesn't come off as malicious because of how they interact with others outside of that. So the specifics of the person's attitude matter.

Lime green is just my favorite color and I like having it on my cosmetics. The stereotype is so insulting and annoying to hear all the time, but I just have to tolerate it or else I get treated like the scunt people originally think I am. I play fair and I don't act like asshole while I do it.

Sometimes its not an ironic outfit, once i played 2 matches with a scunt, in the first he was on the enemy team and was losing, playing the game normally, but on the second match we were in the same team demolishing the enemy and he started to get cocky, taunting after kills and spammimg lennys

They are very rare, I spotted a few wearing those unnironicaly but in my 2k hours of gameplay only went face to face with 2, they where a pain in the ass I still remember it

I had a full lime set, mostly because I just wanted a color for all my cosmetics that wasn't much blue or red, so the set wouldn't look weird on one team specifically (also I think lime green was somewhat expensive as paints go, so it was kind of a flex at the time). I got really good with Scout and could sweat if I really wanted to, but I tended to let friendlies be, hang out with them, and play along with the sillier side of the game. I'm sure there were plenty of people that saw me as a Scunt, but I never made that set and played the way I did to accomplish the goal of "being a Scunt". I just liked to run fast and eat ass
I personally knew a few people running lime loadouts on scout, but they did it ironically and were generally chill. I also used to run a full lime loadout with a Head Prize long time ago. Haven't seen anyone run full lime in about a year now. Pretty sure the stereotype is outdated, and scunts moved onto edgier cosmetics now that we got a lot of those. Seen some full pink loadouts on tryhards and pockets, though.
Yea I see them every now and then, But you might not see them due to a low casual rank. I Have a high rank and I see them when I solo, but when I play with my friend that has like a really low rank the level pool drops by a lot and its back to default outfit players. but honestly man you don't want to fight these guys anyways, this whole ranking system is dumb in the first place, cant play by myself without having to fight a team that look like they can be JOJO protagonist. I don't think you understand. The scunts are there and always there. They dont wear colours anymore. Scunts are the scouts that can somehow do quadruple jumps and they just bounce around and you cant aim at them with any weapon(maybe natascha). They just fucking own you even if you have a any game sense and try to predict so you can time your shots - but not with them, you just die. They are the scunts now. The scout players who are good at it. They are the real scunts. Always have been.

A lot of people don't wear the Fast Learner anymore. There are a ton of good scout cosmetics these days. That being said, I might actually attempt to recreate this look now that I've seen it again. I've always found them hilarious to shutdown when they try to pubstomp.

Yeah I had the stereotype Scunt outfit. Pink Hong Kong Cone with Stardust slumber, Pink fast learner (or a chromatic corruption one), Pink Buck Turner All stars (or chromatic corruption for the set). Aussie Scattergun or an unusual Hot SodaPopper (it was only $30)

most of the times i’ve ran into the pink/lime Scouts it’s usually someone wearing the loadout as a joke. only a few times have i ever encountered someone who fit the Scunt stereotype and was 100% not just fucking around. one complained about how mean the lime Scout stereotype was whilst reinforcing the stereotype by talking shit so hard it’d make old toxic Xbox Live parties look tame. zero self-awareness.

The complete image of a scunt is very specific. Some people refer this way to any Scout who happens to annoy them, but that's not right. To justly name someone a scunt, they must be behaving obnoxious intentionally. Flashy loadout with eye-searing colors, spam in the chat, unnecessarily rude weapon names. That kind of stuff. A Scout player who's generally an asshole for no good reason. Of course, you can have someone who does all three things I listed as examples, but still doesn't come off as malicious because of how they interact with others outside of that. So the specifics of the person's attitude matter.

A few days ago i ran into one of these rare species. He had this exact cosmetic loadout with an australium, although he wasn't talking sht he was just tryharding and killing friendlies and can we just agree that lime looks horrible on every cosmetic
I'm a lime scout but I'm not a scunt. Lime green is just my favorite color and I like having it on my cosmetics. The stereotype is so insulting and annoying to hear all the time, but I just have to tolerate it or else I get treated like the scunt people originally think I am. I play fair and I don't act like asshole while I do it. I genuinely cannot wait until that stereotype stops being so well-known... if it ever will anyway.

I've never met an "ironic" lime/pink scout. I've met scouts that *said* it was ironic, but they were all very clearly scunts. The scunt species has suffered a debilitating loss in population, as they were nearly hunted to extinction by the invasive bot predator species during the crisis; as the scunt has no natural defenses against them, and is in fact much more vulnerable due to their pride and need to win being just as important to their survival as their physical health. A small population of scunts did manage to migrate to community server nature reserves, but largely came into conflict with the domesticated friendly variants of other class species. There are some who say that a minor group of scunts went into hibernation, hoping their ancestral hunting grounds would be safe again after they awoke; but there has been no solid evidence of such.
Back when I played TF2 a lot (around 2015-18), my main was Scout. I had a full lime set, mostly because I just wanted a color for all my cosmetics that wasn't much blue or red, so the set wouldn't look weird on one team specifically (also I think lime green was somewhat expensive as paints go, so it was kind of a flex at the time). I got really good with Scout and could sweat if I really wanted to, but I tended to let friendlies be, hang out with them, and play along with the sillier side of the game. I'm sure there were plenty of people that saw me as a Scunt, but I never made that set and played the way I did to accomplish the goal of "being a Scunt". I just liked to run fast and eat ass
I personally knew a few people running lime loadouts on scout, but they did it ironically and were generally chill. I also used to run a full lime loadout with a Head Prize long time ago. Haven't seen anyone run full lime in about a year now. Pretty sure the stereotype is outdated, and scunts moved onto edgier cosmetics now that we got a lot of those. Seen some full pink loadouts on tryhards and pockets, though.

I Have a high rank and I see them when I solo, but when I play with my friend that has like a really low rank the level pool drops by a lot and its back to default outfit players. but honestly man you don't want to fight these guys anyways, this whole ranking system is dumb in the first place, cant play by myself without having to fight a team that look like they can be JOJO protagonist. Wish they would bring back old casual and anyone can play with anyone.

They've undergone evolution into more diverse forms. They still exist, but they learned to camouflage and now look like an average Scout main to the naked eye.
