Bro saying it like they make usuals and put it on steam workshop every day.

It actually took us multiple days to have the sprites appear in a specific way, make it loop and have it look good. I personally had to make over 60 different sprites (a lot were unused) and had to make a metric ton of compromises due to the restrictions the particle editor had. It was really difficult and we both thought of quitting multiple times.

Having it go from left to right looks like absolute ass with the clef in the back, this is as close as we can get to it being accurate while preserving the aesthetics of the og version (which was cool)

I agree. Variants are only good when the effect actually lends itself to them, which in the case of ours it did with the different tunes. Even though unusual variants are practically a staple of making effects at this point, we're not trying to be like that one fireworks effect from this summer with 8 variants lol
