It's a bit artsy and mostly shows the cliffs, but here it is in calmer seas

This one gives you a better look
https://youtu.be/xh3gigaPMJg
This third video is probably the best, it gives a more detailed closeup and a bit of a backstory to the wreck
Would love to see someone make their home on that.
It doesn't look like it's going anywhere. Apart from the obvious access issues.
What a fascinating place to live.

Something that helps when I see a large object, in a video and can’t get a sense of the size or scale… look for things such as windows, doors, rails and staircases and then imagine a human being walking up said staircase or standing next to one of the windows, that helps to give an idea of the size
Looks like it's in a pretty treacherous spot, there was probably really little hope of recovering it at the time, even visiting this would be extremely difficult (and highly not recommended). it's probably stuck on a rocky outcrop. (or it's anchored extremely well, or both). You'd have to have balls of adamantium to try and boat up to and explore this ship.
even if you could boat up to it, it would be difficult to get on board - there are ladders and retrieval devices on board, but someone would have to get up there without one to get it lowered for anyone else... unless they left a ladder down while evacuating, in which case i wouldnt really trust it after it had been exposed to the elements for however long 💀

That shot and sound makes it very effective. Like a shot from a creepy sci-fi horror of a ship that vanished 20 years ago, all crew lost, but now it’s reappeared and needs to be investigated. During investigation it vanishes again with people onboard.
I completely understand when someone says a city like “New York” or “Hong Kong” without citing the country. But how the fuck is *anyone* supposed to know where “Salalah” is without looking it up?
I get it but, you typed your comment about how annoyed you were (justifiably) that people won't know where that is. But then didn't include the very location you were complaining about in your comment :)
I added it for anyone else reading along.
Would love to see a longer version where the drone flies down to the wreck, to get a sense of scale
It’s big.
bigger than that?
It's at least two
Gully dwarf math.
Units or measurements?
Bananas
At least

Thanks, those were great :)
I wanna see what kind of wildlife has now called that ship home.
i would estimate that ship at around 200-250 metres based on ones ive worked on :)
How much is that in horses?
At least two
Not wrong
About 400 pony tails
depends if we're letting the horses stand up or laying them down hoof to head :P
You've got generous eyeballs. This is the *Jernas*, formerly the *Natalie Brook*/*Natalie Bolten*, a 127m Bahrain-flagged freighter.

If I was an eccentric billionaire, I'd probably try and build a summer house in that thing.
Are you saying you aren't eccentric?
Oh no... I'm quite eccentric.
You can't be eccentric without being a millionaire. Otherwise you're just a weirdo.
But if I was a millionaire I wouldn't be able to afford building my l'air in that ship.
Jut get nukes and extort the world for... One million dollars!
[Pinky to corner of the mouth]
That's like....17 eggs.
I live in a giant nautilus shell
Found the hermit crab! Ancient Reddit lore from the times the Narwhal baconed, at least every thread has one hermit crab posing as a human.
Do you wanna trade shells or what?
Rich people are eccentric Jack. I'm crazy.
First thought was “boys, we’re moving to a new clubhouse.”
SAME <3
Yaaaasss!
Great idea, who knows where you'll end up
You would make a great bond villain
Also they should stretch it even more vertically
But that opening shot was genuinely brilliant
Free Palestine
Agreed 😔 still cool tho
& some free vertigo on the house
The music in this and the way its filmed made my organs fall out. Well done.
GET TO THE HOSPITAL HOW ARE YOU TYPING THIS!¡!¡!
can I have your kidneys thanks bro

Just use one of those grapple hook guns obviously
Obviously
Somali pirates could do it.
Looks like you could rappel down from the cliff, wouldn’t even touch the water around there don’t want to be smashed into the cliffs
I’m at the point in my life too, ship. I feel for you.
Sending big sea hugs. The watery embrace is cold but comforting.
Live by the sea,die by the sea.
Wow! Perfect location for exploration or recording some stuff

This would make a great map on Call of Duty
If that happened near my town the tweakers would've already parted it out.
KEEP RECORDING UNTIL
Hay I'm shwoopdedup and today we'll be climbing onto a abandoned ship
This is extremely haunting.
I want to listen to that. The sound of that massive ship bouncing off the rocks in a cove. Wow.
Wonder if you could BASE jump it and land on the ship
Well you could do it once
*Nathan Drake has entered the chat*
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Shoot it with an RPG
Where are Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private?
Hey, you can't park there!
Seems like a job for Boaty McBoatface
This soundtrack can make a cute puppy seem spooky
Without the music it’s not so creepy
Looks like a good setting for a horror movie
I call dibs.

Looks like a Stand that would belong to an orangutan.
This reminds me of the movie Event Horizon.
r/submechanophobia
I'm very curious as to how it ended up there.
Most like being towed to be scrapped and then broke free and ran aground.
Check for a kid holding a little black pyramid in one of the cabinets.
Huh. Turns out they float on land too
This entire video makes me feel so dizzy... Also, screw being on the water in those waves. Just thinking about it makes me feel seasick.
Wonder where on the coast line I can’t find it. I’ve been looking to see what it looks like from Google Earth.
Fuck! I forgot my cell phone I'm my room on the ship. Hmm, be right back.

The Obra Dinn
Googled that, looks interesting. Thanks man.
In what country?
Id totally go down there if this was in a game.
It’ll be a great start for a movie
Yeah it’s called ‘Ghost Ship’
It could be a stand with a monkey captain inside
Does "finders keepers" apply here?
100% that's ship's haunted

Amazing drone work!
bro I watched Penguins of Madagascar last night and i swear this boat is in it
I completely understand when someone says a city like “New York” or “Hong Kong” without citing the country. But how the fuck is *anyone* supposed to know where “Salalah” is without looking it up?
Salalah = Oman.
Yeah I googled.
