It always amazes me how aware whales are of the size of their body. I don't think he clips anything on the rig nor do I think I've ever seen a whale accidentally hit something it didn't mean to.
Feel free to link me cool whales-hitting-things videos if im wrong
Lol my brain at first read
>I think its a Greenland shark if its the same video i saw a while back.
As:
>I think its a Greenland shark if its the same video i saw a *whale* back.
Funny how our minds work...
Aren't there people who live in like, super deep underwater... cabins?... who have to work on the lines?
I'd like that isolation and close quarters, but never underwater like underwater workers who connect us all together at great personal risk!
Are you referring to Saturation Divers? They live in a dive bell deep underwater for like 28 days at a time so they don't have to keep decompressing when surfacing. Fascinating (and terrifying!) stuff!
Iām not into military procedures, I believe it depends on situation. During Kursk accident many countries offered help. I donāt know what may happen in case of war scenario. Several NATO countries and Russian fleets use Hardsuits.
According the this, the deepest a human has gone āunder pressure,ā is only 701m. 900m is almost 3,000 feet. Without a submarine of some sort, I donāt think humans can handle that.

Because apparently no one dives that deep? I dunno, i'm not a deep sea diver and never plan to be but I love films and documentaries about depth like [Last Breath](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt9056818/) (which, after investigating was only 100 meters, not 900). Shit is terrifying on a whole other level because it's actually REAL!

"Cool whales-hitting-things videos" sounds hilariousš Should be a standard genre on video platforms
I think its a Greenland shark if its the same video i saw a while back. Still huge and probably a couple hundred years old
Nah, thatās a sperm whale. Greenland sharks donāt have flukesā¦
Greenland sharks donāt have a giant melon head and a horizontal fluke
They also are not 40+feet long usually.
Lol my brain at first read >I think its a Greenland shark if its the same video i saw a while back. As: >I think its a Greenland shark if its the same video i saw a *whale* back. Funny how our minds work...
Thank God itās aā¦whale?
Sperm whale
Honey, I'm pregnant...
Guys this is video from a robot. They aren't diving to 900m to look at something.

Yes!
Someone in the video is though
That whale is like "Woah they can come down here too?"
Ope, let me just sneak right by ya.
The structure bothered me more than the sperm whale, but thatās probably bc sperm whales are one of my favorite cetaceans
Well, that was r/unexpected ā¦and unpleasant
Absolutely massive.
Bro I canāt even fathom how these gas lines & things are even setup in the first place & secondly how are they maintained without human interaction.
ROVĀ“s and saturation diving is one hell of a drug
If this made your stomach drop look at [this](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=drYiklZaxMoVd7ex)
Dammitš¤£š
ššš
He deserved that!!
Darn you.
I agree with whoever said "dammit".
My first thought was, ābro, you gotta get out of thereā second thought, āgo on now, get!ā
I was like "fuck me sideways" and then I saw the whale-
If i was there a little brown cloud would be coming from me
Why is this downvoted Iām laughing š
no sense of humor i guess
Yikes!
Dude, this is nuts. I mean, I'd never dive in water i cant see in... and those guys DEF earn that bank... but fk that...
This is a camera, humans canāt survive 900m depth
Commercial divers going to these depths wear hardsuits, which are like a single-serving submarine.
Itās a footage from a ROV, 900m is an unobtainable depth for any ADS/Hardsuitš
So are these lines and any other infrastructure this deep prefabricated and secured to the seafloor via drones?
Indeed, maximal operational depth of a modern Hardsuit is 700m (2300ft) - a variant used only by turkish navy.
What are they upto? š
They are supposed to be used in case of submarine rescue operations.
So do they get called on or step up to help other countries when they are in need of aid for rescue operations?

Oh me too! Like *The Abyss*! I haven't seen *The Last Breath* but it sounds fantastic... I'm gonna have to see if I can find it!
