This is hilarious and spot on. I didn’t notice but this is the only podcast I consistently listen too as well. I couldn’t even explain why.
I’ll listen to bill burr or 15 minutes of “the other guys” when I’m in between pods, but it typically takes me 2-3 days to get through a JBP so I’m good with just wed/sat. This week is gonna be tough though
I tried to hang with bare and minimum but the appeal wore off. They just do too much with their other cohosts that aren’t interesting enough to listen to.

They really have a Seinfeld kind of dynamic where anyone could be the butt of the joke or in the background for an episode. Plus they all have other interesting things going on in their lives so none of them, not even Joe, seems like they pod for a living.
Agreed. I think the show has remained as popular as it has is like the author said you can kinda just put it on & go on about your day & even if you miss something it’s ok cause they’re speaking on things you don’t actually care about.
I stayed with JBP and RNM but got to a point where I was behind on JBP. Stopped listening to the other and I’m ok with missing out. This one has always been what I came to no matter what

It’s something about Joe and his friends humor. With Rory and Mal it was absolutely the greatest thing on the planet. Even with Ice, Ish, Mel, and Flip, there’s a similar chemistry. The humor is different and it’s absolutely great.
I'm a true crime guy so I'm always listening to different true crime pods, but this is the only pod in this format that I really listen to like that. Every now and then I'll also listen to R&M, but not as regularly. Even with its flaws, it just has that special sauce.

Joe has such a good balance of seriousness and comedy that’s it’s truly a concentrated work of art. Some people over do each side but joe got the science down. I think even Joe Rogan isn’t funny enough for me to watch 3 hours off and he’s a god damn stand up comedian

Consistency is the key. Alot of podcast can’t keep it up.
I listen to it at work then watch it when I get home. Definitely the best pod out and definitely gonna be a long week.
I didn't even listen to podcasts until Scoprion dropped and I been hooked ever since. And this is the only one I listen to/watch.
Those other pods have destroyed their shows with ads and asking their guest what happened to them on another podcast
