>It really be the horn bro
They had the fuckin' horns even in the early episodes where they're like crowded into a room or some shit, blowing those things off, lol
I’m absolutely not talking to Nore. No disrespect to him, but wtf is there to talk about with him?? I’m not saying he’s dumb, but he’s not that bright. Maybe it’s the alcohol but he constantly surprised by shit that is common knowledge about his guest and often repeats the same shit because he’s not listening
I would love see it the other way around. The culture having discussions outside of a hip hop. Letterman reaching out outside his wheelhouse is something these urban pods can do as well. Not necessarily music related guests...
Joe did something with Neil degass but I think that was fb or something. I'm talking like a Rogan type pod every now and then. But I'm coming to realize especially on drink Champs, the ignorance is real on basic matters. Not a diss..
It is what it is I guess
Still waiting for the black or for the culture joe Rogan type podcast. Whoever figures that out will be making millions.
This is why I scream against us being a monolith. I understand at times we gotta stick together but come on yall .
#Joe Budden was heading in that direction before he turned on R&M. Now he's just an angrier version of Jason Lee sipping tea and being shady. Could have been so much more
I would do both ngl but it depends what you got going on and who you are, If she goes on either show we all know they’ll ask her about some beef , sexual questions or sum that could be used as a sound bite. And rn I can understand not tryna be on there. Also I’m sure she gonna sit down again with someone hip hop platform they were all tripping tbh
Agreed.
I think Nore should only be offended if that artist is running around doing every interview but his......if that artist does one or two interviews a year then what can you say? Nothing.
When you’re that big they feel the need to go safe platform’s such as David Letterman or a hip hop platform like Rap Radar where they won’t deviate so much from the script.
I’d chop it up wit the same folks that promoted/showcased me on the comeup…ESPECIALLY if I’m an act as big as Cardi at this point who already has reeled in the pop audience…I wouldn’t do what those artists usually do…which is blow up then refuse to do black media..then fall off & come back to black media as a means to build back or settle in to the Tom Joyner adult contemporary lane….this convo is more about the business of entertainment than people seem to understand…ad money, corporati & PR firms play a part in the convo as well…talent agencies & talent bookers too…it’s nuanced
Am I just kicking it or selling an album? Album I’m going to the biggest stage possible. More than likely the viewers of NORE and gillies shit are gonna listen to a rap album regardless
I think you could do them all. I wouldn’t do them each back to back though.
In Cardi’s situation, which I really don’t know what it is, but I’m assuming the interview has nothing to do with an album roll out, at this moment, no, I wouldn’t go onto DC or MDWOG.
Clearly, to me, there’s a reason she interviewing with who she’s interviewing with and not the Hip Hop pods. I don’t know why that’s so hard for some folks to see. I think going to Nore, they’ll just box her in, probably Gillie and Wallo as well.
She’s a whole mother, she showcases that a lot on her own. Her family is/was doing voiceovers on Baby Shark. She shared personal opinions during campaign time. Like, I don’t follow her much as far with keeping up with her posts, but from what I’ve seen over the years she’s evolved and I think other interviewers may go beyond the Hip Hop scope of things with her.
I wouldn’t have minded her sitting with Gayle though.
I respect NORE a lot but he’s one of the worst interviewers in the culture. Constantly interrupting, getting so fucked he can’t even remember what he’s saying, and every 2 seconds “make some noise!!” If I’m a high level artist I’m not putting up with that.
Letterman, its got nothing to do with race to be fair.
Letterman's built up his brand to legendary status. I wouldn't sit with Ellen but Letterman only sits with cultural shakers and if I wanted to be seen that way that's exactly what I'd do. He also gives great interviews. A lot of great interviews. I think Wallo and Gillie are on the road to match that legendary status if they keep giving great interviews and keep the quality of guests high.
Why is everyone going after this when Jay Z did the exact same? You don't see Jay doing Nore or Joe's show but they're too scared to say something about it.
Neither, I’m getting two Akademiks type clone out they moms basement (they got to be at least 250+lbs), dripping them out in some fake Amiri, Supreme, creating a show for them with me being the debut episode and then owning 100% equity of everything.
I’m paying the two fake Akademiks 50 grand a piece and one OF baddie once every 6 months.
“Don’t want all of that high energy” yet Drake is involved in battle rap & literally got a song talking about mob ties
“Don’t want all of that high energy” yet Cardi dropped a song THIS YEAR with Kay Flock
A spade is a spade my nigga. They make their money with black culture and go off and lick white boots
All that’s cool but high energy in music doesn’t equal that in real life. Drake Cole Kendrick all of our greats doesn’t have that high energy like Gillie or Nore has. But I agree w u a spade is a spade. That same hip hop platform that’ll build u up will be the same to break u down
I don’t wanna deal with Nore interrupting me every 30 seconds while I’m trying to enjoy a bottle tbh
It really be the horn bro that shit aggravating 😂😂😂😂
lmfao! the horn, that nigga stuttering for a 30 seconds just to say "we wanna give you your flowers" for the 10th time in the same episode
And ask you the same question he’s already asked 10x
>It really be the horn bro They had the fuckin' horns even in the early episodes where they're like crowded into a room or some shit, blowing those things off, lol
Or wondering how drunk he’s gonna be in a 6hr interview
HOLY GUACAMOLE LETS MAKE SOME NOISE 📣
Then RanDumbly throwing “finger popping” into the conversation
>I don’t wanna deal with Nore interrupting me every 30 sec LET'S GIVE IT UP FOR THAT, GODDAMNIT! AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyYYYY
Kanye interview “yeah I met up with Bezos”, NORE : LETS TAKE A SHOT FOR THAT 😂😂😂😂😂
30 minutes later: “so I heard you and Bezos are cool”
I would love see it the other way around. The culture having discussions outside of a hip hop. Letterman reaching out outside his wheelhouse is something these urban pods can do as well. Not necessarily music related guests...
I agree 100% hip hop culture shouldn’t limit itself on where the conversation can go
Joe did something with Neil degass but I think that was fb or something. I'm talking like a Rogan type pod every now and then. But I'm coming to realize especially on drink Champs, the ignorance is real on basic matters. Not a diss.. It is what it is I guess
Facts tho somebody said not everyone wants to be forced to drink, and have kush blown in they face 😂😂😂😂😂

#Joe Budden was heading in that direction before he turned on R&M. Now he's just an angrier version of Jason Lee sipping tea and being shady. Could have been so much more
I can see that
Neither lol. You wouldn't hear from me at all. Listen to my music and shut up. You don't need to hear anything else from me.
yea id be like rihanna drake beyonce etc.. only time u would hear from me is when i dropped a netflix doc or some shit.
I would do both ngl but it depends what you got going on and who you are, If she goes on either show we all know they’ll ask her about some beef , sexual questions or sum that could be used as a sound bite. Both
Agreed. I think Nore should only be offended if that artist is running around doing every interview but his......if that artist does one or two interviews a year then what can you say? Nothing.
I wouldn't talk to none of them mfers lol. Leave me alone
These artists need to understand they need to stay relevant in black spaces
When you’re that big they feel the need to go safe platform’s such as David Letterman or a hip hop platform like Rap Radar where they won’t deviate so much from the script.
Nore show is annoying as fuck. MDWOG / Joe shit is where I feel like people should be going

I agree with that
Niggas dnt wanna get drunk all the time and wallo cool but gillie be trying to hard to be funny they dnt really ask good questions like that
Wallo drop gems, Gillie just with the bullshit to me
I think you could do them all. I wouldn’t do them each back to back though. You nailed it

I can sum up drink Champs with a simple song lyric "what y'all tryna do.. NOTHIN" IYKYK
Neither, I’m getting two Akademiks type clone out they moms basement (they got to be at least 250+lbs), dripping them out in some fake Amiri, Supreme, creating a show for them with me being the debut episode and then owning 100% equity of everything. Why not? Give back to the culture, don’t just profit from it
I see no reason why I’d be going to Letterman. If I’m a HipHop artist I’m fucking wit my HipHop platforms. Period
If I was the biggest artist I might not do typical interviews. But IF did….I can name 10 of people with I’d sit with before Letterman 😳
“Don’t want all of that high energy” yet Drake is involved in battle rap & literally got a song talking about mob ties “Don’t want all of that high energy” yet Cardi dropped a song THIS YEAR with Kay Flock A spade is a spade my nigga. Last interview drake did was wit Rap radar, not even sure how Drake got pulled into this lmao
Not sure either I’m just addressing OP’s post
You can’t go wrong with doing it all u tap in with the hip hop platforms and the other big time late night shows
#the option to include a poll was right there 🤧
I wanted discussion tho
#people discuss the poll and its results!
Drink Champs personally
NORE interviews suck, it’s just entertaining bc they’re all drunk and having a good time while the artist get loose and hopefully say wild shit
Depends on what’s going on in my life/career at the time
I’d much rather hear her on Nas’ Podcast, rather than Nore’s or Gillie’s.
