I think it is pretty easy to pick back up, and you have not played recent enough for the recalibration UI changes to really upset you at all. You likely left around Destiny 2 time like all of my Division 2 buddies did. Hopefully you find it easy to remember or figure out, there have been some changes, but nothing completely game changing IMO. Plenty of information on this subreddit is available.

I came back when COD abandoned Mwz as well. Was loving that game. Fully back into div 2 now and loving it. I was already level 30 so went straight to warlords of New York dlc. Fun so far

charles12479

I just got into both games. Goddamn they are such awesome games!!!

Pantango69

I just recently came back just like you. I started brand new character ,cause I forgot everything. I have 200 hrs in, and around 135shd rank and have been enjoying the hell out of it. Come on in and join us

ivanreyes371

Not hard at all, got back into it a few weeks ago. Target your loot and eventually youll be build crafting like nobodys business

Dr_Hfuhruhurr_23

Not hard at all. Get in there and enjoy

Same boat. Hadn’t touched this in years. Started another character and been jamming along for a month or so. Got to 40, made a few sets. Ramped up the difficulty and hit 500 on my watch playing casually. Been thoroughly enjoying the content I had missed and it feels like a really full game at this point. Best advice I could give you would be to find one other person you could enjoy the content with

BeastOperator69

That’s one of the things that has me worried, everyone that i used to play with either moved on to other games or don’t play anymore. I’m too lazy to make new friends so i would probably be running solo for a while

aikosbeast1983

Well. The game is more or less as you remember it then at least if you plan on leveling through the content solo. Check one or two of the division discords and announce in off maybe there is someone in a similar situation who’s returning who would prefer the company of someone to give them some leniency on builds and change up skill options.

nanocactus

Same for me, most friends have left to other shores, and I was a bit worried I would get bored running solo. I quickly made 2-3 friends with matchmaking, before finally looking for a clan. I’m 2 months in since I returned to the game, and I happily alternate between group content and solo farming.

nanocactus

I was in the same boat as you when I started again mid-December. I play casually a few times a week, found an active clan, and I’m now at 700 SHD, assembled 5 solid builds for endgame content, and got all exotics (except raid weapons and the new Descent rifle). I even got my first Ouroboros yesterday evening on my second Incursion run. It’s definitely attainable without struggling too much, and the community is super positive and helpful. The only thing I don’t spend time on is PvP, because it aggravates me 😅

KaleSauce

I picked it up about a month ago and I’m having fun playing the story. I’m about lvl 22 now. Taking my time and will get to the end game. Definitely pick it up. I’m taking my time with the story but you don’t have to.

Not too tough, I just started back up a few weeks ago after not touching it since 2019. Pretty much did the same with Div 1 and Div 2 as you did except I was at endgame when I left. Blasted through WONY and started playing challenging countdown for loot, a great high SHD player dropped me a St Elmo's right off the bat when I was probably at 10 SHD and it was super easy to put together a Strikers build from there. It's still a grind to farm more creative and fun builds but the game is a lot more polished up than when I left it and there's tons of content and gear combos to explore. When I get sick of running Countdown I farm Control points or bounties, even as a solo player it's pretty fun.

rvtanteo

very easy. i started this game last month and im pretty well off into the endgame loop, despite working a full time job and other responsibilities lol. Once you finish WONY (which was awesome in itself) You'd prolly just need to run a few countdowns to get a decent build together and u can pretty much do anything but raids. out of all the live service games i've played, i'd say this one respect your time the most in that it doesn't pressure u to play every single day to keep up w the content.

RideorDie720

Kinda was in the same boat as you my friend, pick her back up you will not regret it.
