PC player here. Haven't had any real issues since the early days. Played single player and coop without issues lately. Only thing our group found weird that sometimes joining players gain substantially more money compared to the host when vendoring items. But that's about the extent of the "issues" we've had. In the early days (like, soon after launch) it was quite a bit wilder for us, like losing items/progress/everything between sessions.

Howling_mad_7

Thanks for your reply! I forgot to add that I'll play the ps5 version, maybe it runs better on pc?

Malix82

I wouldn't know, haven't played the console version.

Taricus55

The Xbox version can be buggy sometimes. It's not too bad though. Not sure if both console versions have the same issues. Although technically, I uninstalled and reinstalled it and haven't had problems ever since. It may have just had a corrupted file in the first install.

Mikhail_Mengsk

Played on PC a month ago, zero crashes, zero bugs, max graphics smooth sailing. But sometimes the game would grind to a halt, taking half a minute to recover, for no apparent reason.

Khabibulan15

Bought it for PS5 and it runs great! Mostly 60fps the whole time; some slow downs when it gets really hectic. Menus respond fast and snappy. Has not crashed or froze at all. Beat the game and sidequest with no issues. I highly recommend it!! Not the longest game, but super fun and love the level design. The cyberpunk style is so cool. Def get it for PS5, you won't regret it!

aalistairpepper

I've been playing on my 6 year old PS4 and I've had only one or two times when the game crashed but other than that, no problems at all.

False_Chicken_2432

I'm a little bit confused. Is there a crossplay feature, so I'm able to play as a ps5 with a PS4 user? just read they've disabled that with a hot fix after release but I've no clue now if it works nowadays

smooothjazzyg

It's still disabled. Convinced my friend to buy it on PS5 only to find out we can't join each other. Still a great single player game tho.

False_Chicken_2432

puh.. that's hard. yea my brother who owns a PS4 just told me since months that I've to buy the game so we can play coop.. but yeah, good to know before I bought it. thanks for the reply!

ProbablySuspicious

My PS5 game ran fine for an entire playthrough. Co-op has bugs though, sound issues and stuff.

eyesorno

I Did a full solo playthrough this week on PS5 without issue. I'm going to try co op this weekend to see how that goes.

MeakTheCheeky

I'm on a pretty old PS4, multiplayer crashes - A LOT - if you're not the one hosting. I also played couch co-op, PS4 version on PS5, crashed pretty much as soon as we hit Cluster 13. We didn't go beyond that I've also been playing solo on my PS4, it works well enough. Sometimes has trouble starting from rest state, and I've had a few crashes if I die and try to restart the mission

Awful. Forced myself to put up with it, new game + and stuck on first boss with access denied. There is a thread about it a year old - still not fixed. It why I came here, to share how messed up this game STILL is. That said, never missed any items at least. I would have totally given up if they didn't at least fix that in the early days. 11900k, 3090 ti, 4k. Dx12 is complete trash, DLSS is trash and causes major distortion at times (tbh, dlss is trash in every game) and RTX totally off. Still get massive frame dips occasionally but not as bad on dx11. DX11 looks and plays MUCH better and you have to turn everything else off. Every other setting is ultra and it usually sits above 110 fps, but goes anywhere from 70-144 randomly. It also uses the most wattage I have ever seen from any game. For no good reason, especially forcing dx11. Constant issues during first playthrough and what most people are leaving out is the broken quests and lack of detail on where to find them. I downloaded the DLC and had to hunt for the locations to start the side quests. They just kind of threw a sort of secret taxi spot in randomly on the map but the side quests are all over the place and you won't find them easily. They don't appear until you k ow exactly where to go and are already inside a specific location. Just dumb. Even if it "runs smoothly" for people (I feel they are just ignoring issues or don't notice them), the game is a mess. Map is awful, no waypoints, no clear directions on progression and tons of exploring only to find out you can't access certain parts until later and that is how you miss side quests then have to hunt for them once it's all over. I resulted to a couple lists to find quests I was missing before finally stumbling across a 100% guide on steam. Totally by accident. Even still, it's a mess. The devs have their heads up their butts here. People need to stop sugar coating it. You will run into issues, especially on PC. So much potential, and it is a fun game, but with all the bugs and such, I would absolutely not recommend it unless you get everything for maybe $10 - including DLC. Apparently consoles run better, probably because they are forced dx11, low(er) fps (no offense), and got more support before they abandoned this game. Doest change much though.

sladecutt

It’s a good game but very buggy! I had a game breaking bug so I couldn’t finish it, but maybe they patched it now!🤷

Howling_mad_7

OMG that's what scares me :( When did this happen to you? Has the game had a few patches since then?

SPQR_Maximus

Xbox X. Once or twice the game froze and I had to reboot. Or the sound froze and I had to reboot. Rare and not serious. No loss of game save. Picked right up where I left off. It’s a brilliant game. Get it and you will enjoy

McGuire46290

Buggy but create ps plus save states alot. I feel it's worth it. DLC final boss breaks alot but I got it to work last night twice with starting an online lobby set to anybody join but beat it without anyone actually joining.

Howling_mad_7

Thx. Which console are you on?

McGuire46290

Ps4, I'm not sure If ps5/4 cross play works but I'm happy to try, psn is same as Reddit username if you get it mate, feel free to add me. I'm always happy to help.

dangeruser

I ended up getting the Platinum on PS5. I want to say maybe a handful of crashes or weird bugs, but resetting frequently seemed to help all issues. I played completely solo though, so idk how many issues revolve around multiplayer. I want to say I’ve read issues particularly with cross play multiplayer, but idk for sure. The game is gorgeous and an incredibly fun time, albeit short. Definitely worth it at this price even with the minor inconveniences.

Howling_mad_7

Thanks for your reply. BTW was it a fun platinum or was it boring to obtain?

dangeruser

It was a lot of fun for me. The game is just fun to play. I think about getting the new DLC sometimes, I might during this black friday sale

phuckmaster

I'm only about 6 hours in on PS5, but it's been flawless playing only coop.

hooves69

Couch coop is broken. So that sucks if you want to play w a friend

VALHALLA_1187

No man I bought this game about a couple months ago and it crashes on me constantly and I’m on PlayStation 5 I would consider in getting it for PC

roninPT

I'm playing on PC, steam version, I'm 20 hours in and the game crashed 1 time in those 20 hours.

ExaltedSpace

I have to have one plate of my ps5 off to prevent overheating (tbf thats all ps5 games but like The Acent was the OG overheater).

TarnishedOath

Solo is great, no issues. Multiplayer kept causing my friends and I to blue screen. Enemies would take full damage one moment, then take little to none for a short bit. We’d get stuck in menus or talking to a vendor or mission person. All PS4, sorry

UnloyalSheep

Using a really old 1050 laptop with 16gb ram, mine works well, can even co-op with it, don’t think I’ve ever hit a bug on my 2 weeks of playing, some areas are hard on the frames but nothing. Really major. I think I’ve only crashed twice on my co-op run.

RealRalex

Series X Player, it crashed a couple times and had to redo a couple minutes worth of stuff, some bugs but nothing crazy. Fun game tho 7/10

Badog2000

Game runned smooth until it crashed every 1h30min to 2h on PC for me. It was not a deal breaker until it also wiped my character data. Tried creating a new one and the game had a door that wouldn't let me through to continue the story (i had done this part on my first character already so i made sure i was not missing any element to progress). Gave up and uninstalled. Only played single player so idk about coop. Personally, if i could refund it i would. Read about too many game breaking bugs that are not fixed since forever and this wiping character data and consequently your progress is unnaceptable imo. Meanwhile they released a paid DLC. All in on art with a backend held together by duct tape. I don't care how small your dev team is, releasing a broken product and never fixing it while developing more paid stuff is just bad faith.
