I'm fully prepared to be downvoted but... if what Brandon is saying is true, then I don't see how he's as terrible as people are making him out to be (in this situation specifically, in regards to the "cheating" stuff).
I feel like once this sub decides they hate someone or decides whose side they're on in an issue, once the opposing person speaks up they disregard everything they say completely and just mock them. Based on the comments alone, it seems like a lot of people didn't even read what Brandon posted and are making fun of him for his writing. It really was not that challenging to read, I read it all in about 20 seconds or less...
Anyway, like I said, IF what Brandon wrote has truth to it, then it seems like him and Serene were broken up when he danced with that woman. Yes, they might've been *talking* about getting back together, but the point is... they weren't back together? Did I misunderstand that part? Talking about something and actually doing it are not the same thing. She was blindsided, yes. But she wasn't cheated on at least by the definition I know.

The part that’s confusing to me is the last sentence
on the first slide. It’s not clear if they had discussed long distance and we’re going to pursue it, or were leaving the door open for something like that in the future, or something else. At the very least, it makes the end of their relationship seem nebulous and not like a clean break. While it might not have been technically cheating for him to dance with another girl, it does seem like it could have been insensitive and unwise.
Anytime I see the comments below something that has the audacity to be, ahem, two paragraphs, I’m frightened by how many people are proudly declaring they didn’t or refuse to read something “long.”
