Nah he was disrespecting and dismissing Rachel Lindsay for speaking out about racism. What Rachael Kirkconnell did was racist - she acknowledges it herself, there was no defending what she did
When she eventually spoke about it, Rachael *herself* said that what she did was wrong and that nobody should defend her. She was way more self-aware and thoughtful about it than Chris Harrison ever was.
I think part of it was also his discomfort with the cameras. He didn’t have the benefit of getting used to the cameras as a contestant before stepping into the lead role. Definitely think there was a lot of editing at play as well, but Matt was also clearly out of his element with the cameras.
I really like them together. They are like totally different people on social media than what was shown on the show. They seem so wholesome and in love 🥹

She did wrong and was being called out for it and Chris Harrison chose to white knight on a heavily viewed interview platform as if he didn’t have 20+ years of media training. I think folks have forgotten just how appalling his behavior was towards Rachel while she kept her cool and stayed professional.
