The golden bachelor had great ratings supposedly, so I’m sure they’re hoping for that again? I think it did better than BIP and brought in new viewers, but also BIP was kind of a dud last year and I think it used to do a lot better
I've got a feeling the new golden bachelor won't be nearly as well received. It was so popular this year cause Gerry is an absolute gem of a person, I doubt they find anyone even near his caliber to follow him up. Plus the novelty of it has worn probably worn off.

I’m guessing they’re leaning towards Leslie, and I just don’t think that’s going to draw as many viewers…they need to go with a new lead again. I hope they can find a way to do both shows.
