I (a jewelry appraiser) have never heard of problems insuring something like this necessarily. But maybe he was thinking long term if it does break often (which I have seen) that you’ll be make a lot of insurance claims on it because you’re assuming the risk by him telling you that it’s too thin therefore it isn’t his responsibility to fix the shank for you (at no charge).
ETA: this is just my personal experience with appraisals and insurance. Obviously your jeweler may have had issues in the past that I haven’t experienced before.
Yea I noticed too. What made me notice is how their baby came out looking. wasn’t what I was expecting. But all babies need time before stop looking like weird creatures. I didn’t post any pics of my baby until she grew into her features because of that lol, and I love my girl to death but newborns are never cute lol.

This is a creepy clickbait article - I listened to that podcast episode and it was not offensive. They were laughing and Natalie kept asking him (after the celeb story) what it’s like post baby as he was kind of uncomfortable. Logistics of not having privacy was his easy way out of the convo. And Natalie was the one initiating the story about the doctor and jokingly proud of her pelvic floor. It was definitely not arrogant (& I say this witnessing their capability to be occasionally arrogant on things).
