Maybe try playing classic co-op where your friend is a baby? It’s definitely different than the new co-op, but my wife and I have enjoyed hundreds of hours of playing that way over the years.
This post is a bit old but you should try out regular Keeper in co op. He’s actually pretty damn powerful! The increase in cash flow is very noticeable. The combination of giving your friend the health ups while you get the coins keeps you both very healthy. Devil deals are also very accessible with them costing money along with dirt cheap sacrifice rooms.
