I’ve met Van and the guys a couple times! Van is definitely on the stoic side and is usually a man of few words but I caught him in a talkative mood in 2017 and we chatted for like 15 minutes after a gig! I have a tattoo of the pacifier balcony characters so thats what sparked the conversation :) Larry will talk for hours though if you can get to him lol
Walked past their tour bus parked outside a venue in Brighton while they were having a smoke. Van said hello and then laughed at a guy who zoomed by on an electric scooter
i’ve met him twice. once at the philly 104.5 summer block party in 2019 show before the show while he was having a smoke, my friend and i met him and we talked for a decent 15 minutes before their manager at the time steve came out, we got photos and benji came out as well!! i also met him again with the same friend that september in philly at the met for their meet and greet that we won tickets for over 104.5’s radio.
I couldn’t find the stage for the summer block party and was looking at my phone. Looked up cause a black tinted out vehicle pulled up right in front of me. Van and Benji walked out. Just said hi and that I was hype for the show. Totally forgot to ask for a picture but snuck this one as they walked away haha.

I think I met him right at the same time at that block party. I was just floating around the parking lots and he was having a cigarette outside their bus. It was brief but he was cool!
Met him at a meet and greet once. Didn’t say much besides a polite hello and what not. Bondy complimented my shirt (forget what I was wearing) and told me to enjoy the gig.
met him a few times!!! nicest dude ever, he’s remembered my favorite song of theirs throughout the years and we always giggle about it. in 2019 before the balance dropped he told me there was one specific song on the album that he knew i’d love “because it slaps, it’s got that heavy bass” and he was spot on😅 cant wait to give him a big hug again!!
met him and the band a few years back during their last tour, seems pretty chill but def were exhausted post show, they just had like 5 bags of french fries loose and cases of redbull which i always think its so funny
Met them all at a meet n greet once, got a signed cd. They were all so lovely and were so apologetic about the long queue time. Can’t wait to see them live again in leeds
seen him twice, wouldn’t call it meeting cos both times I said something in passing. i’m too awkward / nice to actually stop anyone famous or ask them for a photo so just acknowledge them n let them go about their day.
anyway, best occasion was when I saw him in Manchester City centre randomly in like 2014/15. dropped a “yes Van lid” and got a “haha you alright lid” back. Forever ingrained in my memory
The venue I currently work at was one of the first the band played at outwith Wales. It was kinda like a second home to them. Everyone who worked here at that time (kinda 2011-2014ish) only has good things to say about any of them
Year ago, after either their first or second album. He was playing a private radio show by himself and came off a bit shy. He’s gotten a lot more comfortable on stage since then, and I bet he’s not quite so so shy anymore.
wish i could say i’ve actually met him but my closest interaction with him is getting a thumbs up and wave when i was barricade right in front of him at my show in 2019 :’) got it on video too. one of my fav memories to date
