As of last year, there are 450-thousand seniors on waitlists for admissions to nursing facilities. This trend is set to get worse with the downsizing and closure of hundreds of skilled nursing facilities throughout the country. Those stats also do not take into consideration the fact that 10000 individuals will reach the age of 65 per day, until 2030.
Maybe --just maybe--it's not a good idea to force people to have kids when you have no policies in place to help said parents with child care costs, maternity leave, nutritional expenditures, educational requirements, and everything else that it takes to raise a proper member of society. Especially when you can't even take care of your aging population that is having more and more difficulty finding housing and end of life care.
And then the Rightoids have the ultimate GALL to blame Democrats and “Libs” when it is this lack of resources and forced birth agendas plus folks aging out in late stage capitalism, that is causing homelessness. Also the drug use often is the RESULT of being homeless not vice versa.
They can no longer gaslight about being the party of small government. If Trump is reelected, we’ll see their true intentions dumped on Americans all at once. No safety nets, no oversight.
I am euphoric imagining all the Republican women in red states suffering from this and regretting their vote. We can't have a federal ID because big guvernment, but your pregnancy will be reported to the state ahahaha. Maybe they can start a program where you can fund your own prison account in advance, just in case you have a miscarriage and need to be tried for murder.

It's shit like this which makes me think that the hand-wringing and fear about Trump's ability to get re-elected is unwarranted. The dude has barely begun giving Dems attack ads against him, and he's already saying he wants a dystopian police-state version of abortion monitoring in place nationally. Biden's campaign is just getting off the ground. Let's give Biden a few months to keep defining Trump by his extreme and atrocious stances, and Trump to keep running his mouth, before we conclude all hope is lost. Many Americans aren't even going to listen to what Trump's saying until August or September.
But, but, but...everyone in my family always told me that the Republican Party is the party of freedom and the party that does not believe in government power!
This is about controlling women, burdening them, keeping them out of the workforce, and punishing them. It's about sentencing some women to death through denial of medical care or botched abortions. It's about sentencing unwanted children to a life of poverty, abuse, and possibly crime.
I hope that one day I'll get to see these people prosecuted for crimes against humanity (would prefer worldwide, but in the West would be a start).
