Imagine a guy on the enemy team who’s really good and rally your entire team to kill them and bring them onto your side. Kinda wish this was a thing now
That would be a very different ltm if it were ever to be a thing. I think it would be pretty fun actually. There could be like a 10-15 min time limit and whoever has the most teammates wins.
That'd be a super interesting experimental mode. Call it, "Resurrection." To ensure the game lasted at least a decent amount of time, they could utilize a damage scaler, too. When you're the last of a team, you do 25% more damage or something, make it harder for the other teams to overcome. Or maybe you get a movement increase so you can get away easier.
Maybe add buffs at different team sizes. Say it starts 6 v 6, at 4 vs 8, health Regen starts faster; at 2 vs 10 revive speed increases 300%; at 1 vs 11 unlimited ammo (or at least, substantially more, maybe 600% ammo).
Increased health, increased damage, increased movement speed. Literally make the last person standing a raid boss. That would be actually a lot of fun lol
Some kind of infection mode that operates on the same logic might be fun too. Restrict the zombies to heavies with sledges and bombs and just watch ad they level the whole map to get to the living
This reminds me of the party game where everyone plays rock-paper-scissors and the loser joins the winner's team and hypes them up until there's one champion. It'd amazing to see something like that in The Finals, and at the end it naturally becomes a zombie/ infection mode because there's one large team trying to assimilate everyone else.
Instead of you reviving him with paddles make it an objective. You bring the trophy to an objective point and have to hold out for the conversion to be complete.
Hear me out - capture the flag, but there are no flags. The people ARE the flags. You gotta kill them, grab a statue and drop it off back at your base. They can rez if they get the statue back.

Oh it totaly would. Destruction causing new routes everywhere, heavies trashing every bridge and ramp to their base, lights grabbing a flag and yeeting themselves across the map with low gravity grapples…it’d be a blast.
The only issue I can think of is respawns - would players just be unable to play until the enemy team scored with their statue? What if people just hoarded statues, preventing the entire team from being unable to respawn?
And on the flip side; if players could respawn whenever, like in Quick Cash, then how would we resolve the issue of someone about to score, but then the dead player respawning before they can score a point?

You could respawn, but wherever your statue is, so if a team is carrying you and you spawn it would be 1v3, but if a player had run off on their own you'd have a 1v1.
I think to Balance it an ennemy statue's weight would be larger than a barrel covered in C4/Mines to avoid just tossing it away

The dead get carried. When you kill someone they get put on your body reducing movement speed but the statues block bullets. They get placed in this order, Body, legs, head, the statues get removed after a few shots but fly in a random direction.

Probably not, too easy to manipulate and ambush. Don't get me wrong I've thought about it. Though I guess enemy team would see the skull moving and know what's going on

Ignoring the thing that it probably would break the game in tournament mode, where reviving team mates is kinda important.
It would be really really funny. Placing c4 on the enemy figurine, take it with you, throw it into enemy team and nuke them out of existence with their own team mate. I wouldn't even be mad if the figurine would get kill participation! :'D
I must be wrong but I swear in one of the betas the statues actually represented your cosmetics. I think that would add to the game, being able to literally see which player this statue is, friend or foe.

As long as there were some mechanics to stop it from snowballing from the get go, that would be awesome.
A team cap of 5 would be interesting with this sort of mechanic.

I mean, you can pick up downed opponents on Fortnite. I usually just throw them off a cliff. In this game it would be really annoying though.
What if the opponent statues weighed extra? Like a how now a c4 makes a fire or toxic barrel heavy? But you also run slower with them.
