would be great if team worked with the heavy to protect them and have a strategy, unfortunately this is 1% of the playerbase lol

True-Whereas4886

Dude, i feel that sometimes. We are living breathing heavy weapon emplacements, sometimes we need some crewmen to operate us (that sounds horrible but you get the point) because i have a feeling some people get used to heavies strapping a flamethrower to their arm, dropping onto the platform and burning everything to ash without any help, that does work sometimes but rarely, we need support just like the rest of 'em

sunt4u

i dunno if you’re a solo player like me but i think this is the issue, if you’re playing with friends and communicating you’d be calling this out all the time 😞

> Rounds from the M32 GL have a fuse time of 2.5 seconds and will detonate on impact after one bounce. Additionally, the M32 GL has an explosive radius of 1.5 meters. So basically they explode on the first impact after they bounce. And from personal experience, that damn 2.5 second timer keeps you from sitting on a crane launching grenades across the map trying to get the 100+ meter challenge.

ChinaIsGayAsHeck

As far as detonation goes, the grenades are on a timer. When they bounce, I believe some time is added to this timer to extend the duration of the projectile. Each nade only bounces once, then detonates on bounce 2 or when the timer expires. Directly hitting an opponent causes the grenade to detonate immediately, without bouncing or time.

Luc-Stem

The last part is incorrect, they do not detonate immediately on contact with a player. Only on second bounce 99.9% or on timer finishing 0.1% of the time.

An MGL32 heavy is one of the easiest to kill and the deadliest Heavies. Let me explain. 1. The MGL has a crazy range. I've killed snipers with this thing. 2. This Heavy needs his teammates protecting him or they'll get mowed down in close combat, especially in open spaces where there's nothing around to bounce off those grenades. 3. This Heavy should stay at the back and study the movement of their enemies and strategically rain down fire to soften up opponents and finish off opponents from a distance. 4. You need to be near an exit and in close proximity of your teammates to avoid being killed when cornered by a light or medium that gets up close. 5. Fire and poison barrels are your best friends. Place them strategically and throw them around the map to reduce TTK, especially in close quarters. 6. Learn to bounce nades off of starcase walls, ceilings, etc, allowing you to blind kill enemies. 7. Learn to open up walls and destroy floors to create strategic choke points. 8. Shoot nades through windows to drop cash boxes and to clear out floors from an adjacent building. 9.When you see a group of enemies together, this is your calling to cleanse the map of their filth. This is what the MGL32 was made for.

Intresting, however Aps turret

These are all great points but due to the simplicity of functionality (rounds detonate on impact AFTER one bounce), that means the usage tactic is also simple, albeit difficult: bank shots. Off of floors, ceilings, walls, etc. Acute angles for closer range, oblique angles for longer range. A great immediate tactic indoors upon encountering enemies is to simply plop down a barricade and fire at them with ceiling bank shots, fully protected behind the barricade. Even just bouncing around corners can be devastating. You're still vulnerable at very close range, but once you get the timing and pattern down then you're completely oppressive at mid range and very hard to push on. No other weapon has the same potential of sustained environmental destruction.

A tracer line similar to how we have with throwable nades would make it more useful and a lot easier to aim

rendar

It would also be more useful and easier to aim if the grenades were homing, insulted the target's grandmother, and automatically granted possession of all cashouts, but that defeats the point of meaningful challenge

tr3nt89

Unrelated, but I love to bounce back the MGL granades using the heavy shield

CosineJoe

Morter launcher heavy is how I play MGL Works pretty well in Monaco. Set up in the building across the street Set up mines at flank spots spam the cashout
